That Kenwood is a nice rig.

What's that radio in the middle with all the buttons on it?

Good photo, by the way.

That would be a the control head for a Motorola Syntor Systems90.

Yea, the syntor is the one with no display.

My first repeater was actually 2 SyntorX9000's till I went to the current GR300. Very, very good radios.

Close, boys...that is a Syntor X with the System 90*s control group. 32 channels in 4 groups of 8.

I owned several of these, and they were great radios.

That's really odd. For what Motorola charges for their crap, you'd think they could at least put a display on it.

It's an older radio, circa the 80's, I think. For it's time it was a great preformer, and still is. Get yourself a nice tuned and programmed 110w Syntor and you'll find out why.

I've went to the A7 Spectra family of radios, but still, the Syntor's have been and are great radios.

Most people give Syntor's away, literally, so not quite expensive by any means.

You don't need a display to navigate 32 channels.

Altho I wouldn't call motorola stuff crap, their stuff has served me better than any trunking scanner or ham radio ever could. You should at leat know the quality of one of their most basic level radios - on your HT1000's!! lol
