During the 2004 G8 summit in Saint simons island Georgia .Two secret service agents actually asked me if i could hear any of their communications. As if they didn't already know the answer.

Before everyone arrived I was able to hear some analog communications from various agencies. When people started to arrive. .. the encryption kicked in .

Security details from various agencies were on the Glynn/Brunswick Georgia trunked system. Including guard units who had their own talkgroups. And talkgroups patched between Savannah Georgia. And Brunswick Georgia's command post.

I'd like to know, so that I don't do the same thing....

That's somewhat bizarre. How exactly were you calling attention to yourself to prompt two special agents to approach you - of all the people gathered up to that point - to ask such a question?

Because they stopped me on the bike path going by the small airport on Saint simons island and questioned why I was going by there every day with a camera and radio.(my scanner) Dozens of other people were doing it every day,not just me.

They are out there, and it doesn't hinder our monitoring.
