Manalapan PD is also testing on the system (UID's 26xxx / 260xxx). I heard they were having reception issues in their station though.

I'm seeing a lot of radios which don't conform to the county numbering system so I'm not sure what they are. The only comm's I've heard in the clear are the park rangers.

No idea about these UID's:
67xx (67 were Juvenile Detention but that's been closed for awhile)
69xxxx
73xx
96xxx
98xxx

I forgot that HazMat uses 69 series numbers as well. I guess it could be them, County radio techs or the command trucks. Single and double digit ID's seem to be the radio consoles.

Here's the 69 series I've logged:
691107
691201
691205
691206
691214
692201
692202
692206
692208
692213
692214
692217
694112
694211
698102
698103
699301
699303

I'm sure there's a pattern I'm missing though which would explain this.

Looks like Matawan Police came on board the TRS today.

UID's 29xxx showing on TG 3001 and 4001

Also received information that the 67xx UID's are county OEM personnel

TG 9001 may be a county OEM talkgroup.

The Bands must be open,I'm picking up a decent decode rate on the South Simulcast. I have Pro96Com running and adding radio IDs to the wiki.

I have a friend that works for the county and he explained that they are using this numbering system that is out of this world. It looks like they are dropping the first digit and skipping the 3rd and so on. I will post a list of what i got once I get it all together. i believe the first digit is the type of radio that is used.

NJICS and County systems

Could have sworn tonight I heard "69-66" come up on the State NJICS- and call county. The voice that answered was a familiar Monmouth County dispatcher. First off- did anybody else pick this up, and second- are the county and state 700 systems linked?

Do you have a time frame on when you heard this? I have to look at my Pro96Com data to see if I picked up anything.

Edit: checked my data and nothing for Monmouth county on the Bordentown site,Only radio I have logged so far for Monmouth County is for Manalpan 1328752.

Is there a special scanner needed for our trunked system, or will any trunked scanner work? Im guessing that most of our trunked system is not encrypted then if your able to pick it up on a scanner. Any suggestions on scanners that will work (mobile and portable)

The only scanners currently that can pick up the system are the new Unidens BCD436HP and BCD536HP,GRE PSR-800 and the new Whistler WS1080. The only TGs in the clear are parks,SCAT buses and from the picture Tech792 posted county highway not sure the TGs for them. All LE is encrypted.

OK need your help on this.
It appears that some towns in Monmouth County are beginning to migrate their Police Departments over to the
Monmouth County 700 MHz Project 25 TRS.
Namely;

  • Allentown
  • Colts Neck
  • English Town
  • Matawan
  • Oceanport

As you are aware these towns are in the Law Enforcement talk groups category and thereby communications are unfortunately encrypted.

I am to far north to monitor from my home location.

Therefore, if possible I need monitors in Monmouth County with appropriate software to possibly find and ascertain the actual DEC and HEX info to add to the data base. So far the DB has only Matawan and Colts Neck talk groups.

Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks and Happy New Year!

    Max:cool:
