Hearing that County will be getting some new Fire/EMS additions. Union Beach expected to go later this month and assuming will operate on North. Also, hearing Allenhurst and Shrewsbury will be next, during the summer months. Assuming Shrewsbury will operate on Central and Allenhurst either Central or South. Haven't heard what their respective police operations will entail just yet.

So these were patched in from the VHF before today?
Will the VHF response channels still be used?
I'm in 43 Territory...
Never patched...they were not active talk groups until today. VHF response channels will stay until the FDs buy new 700 equipment (which may take some time and $$$). 43 will probably go to 700, as they have been using the 700 Fire TAC channels for some time.

38's making the switch tomorrow. This should be interesting with interoperability... Im hoping that in the future, the county allows non county dispatched agencies onto the TRS system.
Yes! My town is surrounded by non-County dispatched FD/EMS. Makes coordination very challenging! I'm going to email you to find out what 700 equipment D38 purchased and quantities. Thanks.

Reception of the 700 system is still pretty strong. I clearly copied some transmissions on EMS talkgroups using a Unication G5 from the bottom of a parking garage in NE Philadelphia. Then I didn't hear it again until 70/73 area.

Monmouth County Public Safety 700mhz system listed here.

I highly doubt you would pick this up on your SDS scanner from Moorestown unless you're high up and away from noisy interference like cell towers out to about 1 mile.
Can you hear it from where you live it?

Monroe Township (Middlesex County) is able to talk on the system and has ID's on the Monmouth County TRS. They are allowing agencies.
