More than that. Easy to forget some of these small towns are still holding on. Aberdeen, Allenhurst (for now), Belmar w/ SLH, Bradley, Deal, Eatontown, Holmdel, Howell, Keansburg, Little Silver, Squan, Marlboro, Red Bank, Rumson, Spring Lake and Wall

From what I've seen, it feel's like Howell is leaning towards going to the county. 19858 and other 19 affiliations are on the TRS. Deal has 61-75 calling the county a lot more so it looks like there going to go as well.

Howell fire commissioners approved a radio project including the addition of a tower so I’m gonna go with NJICS for fire just like PD and staying off County except for mutual aid.

That’s really weird. The county drops the tones for 19 and 14 all the time. I also know the county doesn’t like non-county dispatched agencies on the TRS…

As long as Howell stays on 154.430 for FD paging, I would expect the gratuitous paging by MC to continue after FD ops goes to NJICS. Much quicker than picking up the phone and calling Howell Dispatch.

Indeed, good reminder. This thread has morphed into a general chit chat about the entire system, rather than whatever it started out life as...fire something according to the title.

771.53125 is licensed as a P25 trunked channel for the south cell. The county decided to turn it into a countywide analog conventional simulcast even though it's a) licensed for trunking, not conventional and b) is not licensed for analog emissions. Is it sad that I don't find it strange at all, but rather typical for an agency to do whatever they feel like without regard for the licensing? 🤷‍♂️
They have decided to make amends. Pending applications for a multi-site conventional simulcast 771.53125. Government moves slowly.

Did not get that far, it is an application. Give it a couple of days. Station class SG.
It is new application(s) and not an amendment, suspect they will get a new callsign.

The 700 MHz Fire/EMS Ops frequencies are all from the regional and nationwide low power pool, and technically yes they should be licensed. But at 2 watts max output, it's far less of an issue vs a high power countywide simulcast cell going unlicensed.
