Hearing that County will be getting some new Fire/EMS additions. Union Beach expected to go later this month and assuming will operate on North. Also, hearing Allenhurst and Shrewsbury will be next, during the summer months. Assuming Shrewsbury will operate on Central and Allenhurst either Central or South. Haven't heard what their respective police operations will entail just yet.
Confirmed... Union Beach Fire and EMS testing tones on North Paging and talking on North Response (VHF) now. We'll have to see if EMS responds to calls on VHF or 700 TRS system.

I heard through the grapevine that 65-21 is upgrading their radios but they may not of been installed yet so they may be on VHF until then.

If it's on North Response VHF does that automatically get patched over to the 700 side?

65-21 is using EMS-North, 6551 and 6557 just called in on it for a job.
Hope I sounded good 😂, Can confirm we (65-21) are on the trunked system now. Rigs are done waiting on backordered parts to complete additional installs. PD remains on their local P25 VHF channel until new radios arrive.

Whats that? Cause i hear the ALS units operating on the North/Central/South channels all day
It’s just an interop so county ems desk can talk to the HMH, RWJ, and Atlantic Health dispatches quickly without having to pick up the phone . HMH is the only one that actually monitors it though. I guess comparatively it’s like the MICU SW talkgroup on NJICS

Interesting… I’m assuming soon the interop between towns will be on P25 then?

Not sure I’m following the question, if you’re referring to the county hotline there’s no plan to change that from its current analog UHF state anytime soon.

So I stand corrected on this, there is a plan to migrate the UHF County Hotline channel to its own 800 simulcast (off system) with an unknown timeframe. Off-system can be attributed to the sheriff’s unwavering stance on not providing system access for non-county dispatched agencies. (I guess there’s only some exceptions)

I was told due to most agencies going to, or being on some form of 7/800 this would solve some hardware issues as far as agency inclusivity.

Going back to Fire, what is the status of the fire channels on the 700 system? It's not a patch from VHF? Companies have actually purchased the new 700mhz radios to join the system?
