Question: is 472.7125 still active? Since the new 700 hotline went live, I cannot receive the UHF or the new 700 hotline at my home in Sea Bright, near the Monmouth beach border
No, the UHF frequency has been turned off. The 700 Mhz channel 771.53125, analog pl 151.4 is very weak with static. Even monitoring in the Hazlet area I am struggling. I did hear this morning Hazlet, Holmdel and County speaking with each other regarding a first aid mutual aid call.

Would love to know actual transmitter sites... I don't think they are using all of the sites used for the P25 Trunking system for the 700 stand alone hotline channel

The closest site to me is Highlands...which is Full strength on the TRS....

Anyone hear any more on the county migrating to the P25 channels for Fire instead of the VHF? Seems to be a pretty slow transition currently.

According to the email I received, VHF isn't going anywhere for a long time due to the lag in transition. And paging will remain on the VHF. The NCS paging TG is not intended to set pagers off. It's there as a courtesy so fire and EMS mobiles can hear the pages going out when they're on the road.

Gotcha. Will NCS Paging eventually have everyone through there? I know some times tones go through North Page and not NCS.

Strange how a County-wide frequency is only licensed to the South transmitter sites (WQQU279) and not also with the North sites (WQQU276). Can we tell if the North sites are actually Tx on this frequency?

Yes, I am located in seabright I have full signal. I'm going to make an educated guess that I am hearing the Highlands site... I cannot monitor any south sites from here

771.53125 is licensed as a P25 trunked channel for the south cell. The county decided to turn it into a countywide analog conventional simulcast even though it's a) licensed for trunking, not conventional and b) is not licensed for analog emissions. Is it sad that I don't find it strange at all, but rather typical for an agency to do whatever they feel like without regard for the licensing? 🤷‍♂️

In terms of the Monmouth County TRS, who do we think will be the next town to switch over? Keansburg? It looks to be like mostly everyone has gone.

The 700mhz hotline frequency sounds like crap. Anyway to change settings in the receiver to make it sound better? I am in Hazlet and I have read the previous posts. I am getting the transmissions with a lot of static and low. Can barely understand what they are saying. Any ideas folks?

Not all agencies are on base radios yet. Some are just using portables to monitor and when they talk back it sounds like trash. There are only like 7 agencies actually live.
