...it's a shame to hear the troopers calling in daily that their ww-2 era radios are 10-7 again. Walkie talkies? are they new? We don't go 'em here. If I was a trooper I'd be demanding a new system that is actually state wide...

I agree with skywatch on this: I hear OHP troop K units constantly trying to contact Pawnee with no luck on their archaic lowband radio system. 9 times out of 10 they have to switch to Osage County to run tags and DLs. Our State needs to hurry and get enough DPS trunk sites up where all OHP troops can communicate effectivly.

If you go to the following link and scroll down to "Multi-Agency Interoperability Program Underway in Denver" it will open up an interesting video. The video is nine minutes long but very informative.

This might be the future for the OKC - State System Interoperability problems.

I have an idea. How about training some officers to do TVI so you dont have to call the state for help.OCSO has already done this.......

Would that be Tactical Vehicle Intervention? I learned it down in Florida as PIT (pursuit intervention techniques) when I was with the state.

At any rate, that's a good idea.

I use it often on my way home from work.
