Good they're staying analog instead of going NXDN or the like. I'm still not 100% happy with our P25 radio system here in Boyd County, although it's better than it was before. I'll definitely make sure I keep them in my scanner, as I'll probably be going through Rowan alot.

I spent most of the day yesterday not hearing anything till St. Clair did their monthly radio check with the city, and dispatch told the they were using the old tone.
So I set the Rowan E.O.C. in the search mode for the tone, and it found it, but I didn't think to set the rest to search till this morning, and sure enough all had changed to 325 DPL
So I'm back to hearing everything. As of today everyone else is still us the tone listed in the database.

"Rowan E.O.C?" What's that? Last time I checked dude, every radio I've programmed in this county, 462.975 is called Rescue. Because it was the Rescue Squads.

It's what they call the rescue frequency now, or at least that's what I'm hearing it called.

What you are hearing? So are you involved in public safety in Rowan County?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but at least on the radio for example "Morehead, 1448. Go on and switch all units to the Rescue channel."

Never have I heard someone say "Switch to the E.O.C. channel"

Never said I was.

Haldeman Fire is the only ones I'm hearing do it. Maybe it's because it's Chief was the 500 unit Chief before it was disbanded.
Old habits are hard to break.

I have, if I'm wrong it wouldn't be the first time.

Listen, I'm not one to argue. But when I see completely false information I'm going to correct it. Not sure where you get any of your information, but the Chief of the Hayes Crossing - Haldeman Fire Department was never the Chief of the Rowan Co. Rescue Squad. Maybe if you were actually involved in Public Safety, you'd know that.

The Rescue Repeater is the most powerful in the County, and works the best. That's why people switch to it. Yet again, if you were involved with a department and had a radio, something usable, you'd know what repeaters work the best when you need to communicate to Dispatch.
