What Tower sites are active? It's all fine and well to pay attention to FCC license activity, but it's also nice to actually check the airwaves once in a while...

What Tower sites are active?
Last week I was on high ground above the VA in Bernards. Checked systems granted. They were, Morris County, Hopatcong, Madison. Nothing heard then, clearly something may have changed. The one that's spoon feeding you above info ? How about you let us know. That's the fun of all this. Maybe drive around, check your signal strength at the various sites (14 not 15 remember) and see what you can find.
No signal in Long hill, or Southern Bernards Twp, at this time..... I will report additional non "spoon fed" info this weekend. The one that's spoon feeding you above info ? How about you let us know. As difficult it is for me to say, that is funny to me for some reason.😂Early stages of buildout/testing, one subsite on the air, no talkgroups linked between cells yet, different set of talkgroups for 700 cell, TDMA. 🥄
Keep driving....You are looking in the worst part of the County...so much so that Long Hill PD is using NJICS to talk to Morris. I'll give you a clue....think Horace Greeley, but replace west with North. No signal in Long hill, or Southern Bernards Twp, at this time..... Well at least I now know the control channel frequency.Keep driving....You are looking in the worst part of the County...so much so that Long Hill PD is using NJICS to talk to Morris. I'll give you a clue....think Horace Greeley, but replace west with North.

You mean the one that's been in the RRDB for over 6 hours? 🤦♂️Well at least I now know the control channel frequency.
Your "internets" must be a lot faster than mine since a quick check of the RRDB approximately 1 hour ago did not indicate the 700 simulcast at that time. It does now. 😳You mean the one that's been in the RRDB for over 6 hours? 🤦♂️
Well at least I now know the control channel frequency.
I also have each channel programmed in manually, as a conventional system. Therefore I would have detected the signal from the control channel data if there was one..🙄Ummmm, maybe I'm a little slow but it would help to know that when you had no signal in them there woods.

I'll respectfully disagree with that. If my memory serves me correct, I believe when Morris County's first trunking system came online, their Site 1 was a simulcast of Randolph, Morristown, Netcong and Dover sites. Site 2 simulcast was Boonton, Kinnelon and Jefferson. Site 3 filled a gap out in Long Valley and Site 4 was maybe Chatham?....would have to look back in the database to confirm. When they upgraded, all sites became Site 5. And now we see Site 6.
Thank you, actually I'm not positive this is signal is from riker Hill.
Hey richie, good job. BUT, are you getting that off Riker Hill or another one. Hmmmmmm.
Thank you, the location I am currently located at is 183 ft above sea level and looks west, Randolph would be line of sight. I will attempt to drive by the riker Hill site, remove the antenna from my SDS 100, observe the signal strength, and report back.I'll respectfully disagree with that. Yes, as I said , "I am getting full signal strength in Livingston". At this point, the location of this signal is unknown."Randolph would be line of sight." Isn't that where the Prime is located? Hmmmmmm
