Would you say the end of the year is a reasonable timeline? It will have issues with simulcast issues when the County moves to 700 MHz as the new system is TDMA. But that is still a while away.

Why do you say that? What will be some of the problems? It will have issues with simulcast issues when the County moves to 700 MHz as the new system is TDMA. But that is still a while away.
The SDS scanner is the best scanner for receiving linear simulcast TDMA systems.
A test you can run is to load the State 700 system in your scanner and see if you can receive it.
The 436 will struggle with the new TDMA system. The current system is linear simulcast but FDMA.
And as far as a timeline, I will not say any info. That is not public information.

My PRO-668 w/ Whistler Firmware does a very good job decoding LSM.
But what about LSM and TDMA? I had both TRX-1 and TRX-2 and NOT impressed. Also both TRX-1 and 2 had issues with my local PD on DMR.
To be fair, I got rid of them a LONG time ago. I do not know if any improvements were ever made to the firmware.
If you were between sites where you receive the signal from two or more sites fairly equal then the 668 would struggle.
Site 6 is the 700 MHz simulcast cell, not a single site. For a brief period of time late last year, there was only a single subsite on the air, but that's ancient history. Last time I checked there were still a few subsites not yet online, but the majority are operational.I took a look at Site 6 for the first time yesterday (4/6/22) using G5.
The CC coverage was impressive if (6) is still single site.
I think you mean 769.28125, which is still the active control channel as I write this, and the signal is strong 25+ miles away despite the weather. The Control Channel in use was 469.28125.
Rikers appears online if anyone over that way can confirm.
Ok, searched back a bit in the thread...didn't know it was confirmed online. I caught some traffic today on POLICE D12 on the 700 side. DFQ in Chatham and all down 24. The Rikers Hill site should fill in that area nicely so thats why.
