So I have trouble receiving the Morris County P25 system over the hill in Livingston, looking at the system, there should be a site 6 - does anyone know if this site is up and working?

The new system seems to have a smaller (or more directional) coverage area than the old analog system. From West Orange I used to be able to get a weak signal from the old system. I can't get anything at all from the new system even with an outdoor antenna.

I really need to get my 700/800 antenna up then. I do not receive them here well at all and I am about 3 miles from Riker

The new system is 700, vs the old UHF system. As you go higher in Freq, the signal tends to have less long area reach. Plus, the antennas might be directional.

New license grant for Morris. Interesting this very close to the Randolf sub-site.

As is, this does not fit into the present system, unless of course it is modified in the future to remain within granted contours. Three of the five grants, co-channel, Suffolk, Ocean, Toms River. ERP down to 10 ERP.

Coordination must be tight.

That's an SG conventional license, not SY trunking, so it has nothing to do with the ASTRO 25 system. Those are five countywide "ground" channels they've licensed, with low power simplex transceivers (not repeaters) at the Randolph site (not "close to it").
