Bob, my next guess, ha ha, just kidding.

Tony, the database here has the correct info for Morris County, Zone 4 control channels would be closest to you. Good Luck.

I'm in West Orange and found the zone 4 frequencies to be very weak in Essex County. I also thought since they were closet to me that they would be the strongest. I then entered the zone 1 frequencies and now have no trouble with Morris county.

Believe it or not I am getting Zone 2 the best. However overnight I heard the Rockaway Boro Police talking about the Motorcycle MVA and setting up an LZ 5X5, On the BC 796 most of the time my reception has been 3X3 to 4X4 at best, But this is the best I ever received the system.

Can someone tell me what Fire and EMS agencies use the Morris County TRS system. Thanks for everyone help on this it's going to be nice to hear the Road Department once again in the winter time.

Zones 1 & 2 are the 2 simulcast zones. 3 & 4 are only for over lapping coverage and generally won't carry all system wide traffic.

In the land of make believe
Back for a minute to Bergen Co. If the people there would wake up and realize that they are not in 1950 anymore it surely would help. Minutes away from ground zero, next to the biggest city and they will not talk to each other. BCPD can talk to NYPD and that is . a great thing.
No one would lose their precious turf or any of their authority by cooperating as a great many others do by using a regional radio system. In other areas multiple county systems have been installed and it works for everyone's safety taxpayer and public servant.

Bergen is so out of touch with reality!

Here is a question for the Morris County experts.... Frequently get a talkgroup of 10800 displayed but never any audio or even a data burst. Anyone know what this is? MDT? Que Pasa.

So Bergen Police is using low band to talk to the NYPD? Do you know what frequency?

I don't think he knows what he is talking about, or is not sure what thread he is in.

My guess is that Bergen County can talk to NYPD by way of a Telephone. I doubt NYPD would allow anyone on their frequencies..... IMO.

That is not a valid talkgroup on the system. What scanner are you using? If it is a Uniden, I'd suggest upgrading your firmware.
