Bergen County police do have nyc cw1,2 in some cars to talk to NYC Hyway units a rare event but do, the bomb squad has been over the GWB & Tunnels even before 911 so maybe they coordinate activies, have seen/heard them (NYC) at teterboro airport for 'special escorts ' maybe thats why they have it

anyway will Morris or can Morris link to the Bergen UHF Trunk system now going up?? or should they only use uTAC 5 6 heard there is a Utac 7 out of west orange a odd 454 freq??

TRS Links?

Since, I don't have a great deal of knowledge about trunked systems, how could merged systems work? I like how Somerset-Franklin performed this (different zones or sites). Is it possible to have linked TalkGroups? eg (MORRIS MIRS - BERGEN TRS). I firmly believe that the NJSP Northstar TG should be linked to every county TRS.

In our Post 9-11 era, every TRS in NJ should be linked, and not just with the UASI frequencies.

Franklin was installed as a standalone IR site (no zone controller). It was then connected to Somerset's zone controller and appears as a second site.

All the 4.1 systems in the state could be linked using Omnilink. The downside is capacity. Each system has a limited amount of channels, that means you can only have so many simultaneous conversations. Managing the system useage effectively is a challange.
