So, with all the DMR being used, is there anyone in the area that can update the frequency listings with Talk Groups, Slot numbers and CC so that one could make use of these in some of the cheap DMR radios coming out? The only DMR that is being used that seems to have these posted are the 2 City of Calgary Fire Department frequencies: 418.3375 and 418.4875. I have tried to input the 418.3375 and 418.4875 but have not had success yet. But then, I may be doing it wrong.

Very much agree, It would help (with the right equipment) to post the DMR frequencies for Businesses and other services in the Calgary County and area databases. Also it would very much help to include the CC with the DMR frequencies as stated above the only ones are the CFD tone out frequencies. I have documented from a standard scanner these frequencies to be DMR:

418.33750 Calgary Rural Fire Dispatch
418.48750 Calgary Rural Fire Dispatch
461.26250 Encana Security
461.61250 South Center Mall Security
463.71250 SAIT Security
460.03750 Prudential Steel - Operations
462.53750 Northland Village Mall Security

No CC or specific's just the DMR digital noise i have documented for the frequencies as i only have a standard Uniden scanner but will be getting a DMR radio in the near future. Any additional information or frequencies anyone else has documented to be DMR Pleeease post them! :) Its much appreciated for those digital listeners out there.

If it's not working when programmed into a radio, it could be that they've gone encrypted. Certain people's actions are prompting many agencies to do so, to prevent those people from interfering further with operations. On DMR systems, encryption is as easy as a mouse click.

DSD is a bit out of my knowledge to do any decoding myself. Hoping someone out there can help with some of the digital transmissions and determine exactly there CC and Mode if there DMR/NXDN etc.

That's great info, thanks. :)

The first couple of data blocks there - the ones starting with "NEXEDGE", is that sysid (200), site number (8 or 9), and then what - radio ID?

EDIT: There's only one site with freq 151.04 in the licenses and the later data you posted shows it to be site 30, so I presume the info in the first data block is talkgroup (8 or 9).

I am suggesting site 4 is Bonnie Glen, site 30 is Red Deer, and site 22 is Kingman.

Hmm. Site 3 is Big Hill Springs near Calgary. I wonder if they were numbered alphabetically. :)

That would be too easy.

DSD is your friend.

Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
My opinion of DSD + you get what you pay for and its free. If you have the cash suggest the AOR reciever.
My personal best, ADCR25 a stand alone DMR/P25/Fusion/NXDS receiver for $ 175.00 USD that rocks

Some Assistance ?

Hello

I have gathered a list of (what i believe) to be DMR as i hear the digital noise around Calgary on my basic scanner. As i will be getting in the next few days a DMR radio a little more information for these frequencies would help to be able to tune into them. If anyone has DSD or any other software to decode and pick up the CC or talkgroups it would help out so much.

RX 461.61250 Southcenter Security
RX 463.71250 SAIT Security
RX 460.03750 Prudential Steel - Operations
RX 462.53750 Northland Village Mall (security?)
RX 461.612500 Chinook Centre Mall
RX 461.262500 Security?

This list was posted by Jay911 in 2013, so there will be new users of Digital since:
BP Centre
Jamieson Place
Intact Inc
Livingstone Place
Bearspaw Country Club
The Bow Tower
Brookfield Properties
Chinook Centre
Caltronics (for Airport Tunnel Project)
Encana Tower Security
Heritage Park
H&R Property Management
Kneehill Regional Emergency Services
Mount Royal University Aviation Department
Pengrowth Quirk Creek Gas Plant
Scotia Centre
Shaw Communications Airways (32 & Barlow)
Southcentre Mall
Supply Chain Management (Whitehorn as well as 18 St x 119 Av NE)
University of Calgary Security
To find frequencies, can search Spectrum Direct or Databases on here. As most information does not have information to program DMR, I have not made a list of DMR frequencies. I lock out the noise on my scanners. Plus, I'm not certain if people are finding information on these DMR and not posting or they are encrypted so doesn't matter if information is posted or not.

I'm not sure about near Calgary but in Edmonton about 19 out of 20 DMR users use CC 01. Some default tg's seem to be 101, 102 ect but I'm still searching.

Industry Canada is not very quick to update the database when it comes to DMR etc. Many listings that are in fact DMR and have been for some time are still not updated in TAFL, so that is not a reliable source at all.

The license holder should be updating emission code when changing modes. IC does not read minds or update it themselves

IC does not assign Colour Codes or TalkGroups. As to not posting info about CC & TG some of us refuse to spoon feed.

Yup TAFL is out of date and so is RR database. i found in Edmonton about a quarter of business and in Vegas about half are now DMR or some soft of Digital. FCC database is pretty up good to date on the digital migrates

Near your home base there's a license for Muskwachees Ambulance to use the Samson Band FD repeater on that frequency, but the referenced repeater license doesn't exist any more according to the licensing data... the only other users of that freq in Alberta are St Paul County (particularly Mallaig FD) and Crowsnest Pass FD. I'd believe you might get Mallaig, but not the Pass. :)

Alg=EP I believe means encryption is present.
