Could it be a hold over from the Calgary Police UHF days? I show 462.7125 as Channel 21 Call sign XLP 636.

Edmonton Police still have licensed and do use a number of their old UHF Frequencies in additional to trunked and conventional and simplex 800 frequencies.

I really can't say as it is digital and don't have a scanner that will tell me what type. It is not a steady digital signal and is not on very often. I have had it full strength in the northeast and southwest part of Calgary. Still no other posting in Spectrum Direct. Seems to be on mostly between 0700 and 1800. I do not think it is a hold off from the old CPS UHF days. The only other time I heard digital on the FRS/GMRS frequencies was up near the airport about a year ago. Prior to that, have only heard kids and people backing up trailers on FRS/GMRS frequencies. So still wondering what or who is using digital on this frequency.

Well, another TRBO noise frequency. I had SAIT on 463.7125 locked out for awhile on some scanners as their repeater was generating a lot of noise. However, today, I heard TRBO on this frequency so there goes another frequency. See it is listed as FXD-T in Spectrum Direct now. But thinking about this more, it was hard to listen even when voice was used.

Sounds like Leduc County Bylaw is TRBO

Yup TRBO has taken off at a unbelievable pace. Almost weekly a frequency I use to monitor gone TRBO
Noticed Westjet also TRBO at EIA suspect the same in Calgary YYC

At YYC, as far as I know, Westjet is still analog. Had one of their frequencies locked out but more because of interference. Unlocked it yesterday evening. Will have to pay more attention to Westjet frequencies and see if the Digital crape is on any. Haven't searched SD lately, but if I have time tonight will do a search. Mind you, I generally don't pay a lot of attention to these frequencies as I really don't care if someone hasn't shown up for their seat, or is just showed up, or the workers are unloading baggage. I do listen to Air to ground on their AM frequency. I really hope aircraft AM stills until I am pushing up the grass.

A numbered Ontario company has a new TRBO-emission frequency centered on the 55-yard-line (okay, it's actually on the Calgary 45 when I look at the "satellite view") at McMahon Stadium - I would take a stab in the dark and say that's the CFL. 410.8125, 2W mobiles so bring your AOR DV-1 or DSD+ installation to the tailgate party next year.

NextCom has changed its name in the Spectrum Direct records (to a numbered Alberta company) and has 3 TRBO freqs pending on the 54th floor of 150 6 Ave SW. Isn't that a 53 story building? 461.85, 462.1125, 462.3875, can't view the virtual license until the freqs are no longer pending. Authorization date is Jan 1 2016.

ARINC International has a freq at the airport, 460.275, on TRBO emissions. Two of the base stations are licensed in Central Mountain Air offices & crew rooms.

All sorts of properties downtown and malls throughout the city have TRBO licenses as well.

Lastly, I forget if it was mentioned in this thread or somewhere else, but regarding the new NXDN channels CP Rail is using: They appear to be on 12.5 kHz spacing instead of the standard 5 kHz normally used in the rail band.

160.7625
160.3875

Nothing very educational about their licensing data - "Rail employees" listed as authorized communications.

I did hear the NXDN on 160.04 yesterday evening. But as Jay911 stated it could have been on a 12.5 kHz spacing around 160.04.

Might they be 7.5KHz steps?

Glentel is no longer Glentel. Two way radio division purchased by a company out of Ontario.

That building is actually 55 floors. There are two mechanical floors above the tenant floors. Lots of RF floating around on the roof of that place. When I worked up there in the 90's, there was about 120-150 combined 800 MHz trunked repeaters into a single feedline. The 1.5" hard line was hot from all the RF heading to the rooftop antennas. It's amazing I was able to have kids after spending hours up there..

Wow, that's a lot of signal. I always thought it would suck as a radio enthusiast, to live in the apartment building on McLeod around Southland (possibly the new South Calgary AFRRCS site) as there's an antenna farm on the roof. I can't imagine how hammered a scanner would get.
