Yes 853.875 CC.

Have received law enforcement traffic, communicating with Central Dispatch, on TGID 11272. Haven’t been able to identify the department yet.

Can anyone tell me what is going on with Lenawee county at the moment? I haven't used my scanner in a while. I turned it on last night because of the snow and all it would pick up was the fire department. I am assuming they made the switch to digital. Are the new frequencies in the database so I can download them yet? Did they use encryption? I live pretty close to the new tower, Corner of East Valley rd and 52. If this thing isn't going to work anymore I will just reprogram it for Ohio and give it to my dad since he lives in Swanton Ohio. Mainly interested in police departments in the adrian area, fire depatment and state police. I had the state police programmed in before but didn't get anything from it either. Not a huge shock because that was spotty before. Sometimes you would hear chatter, sometimes not. Mostly just them logging in and out at shift changes.

Lenawee County Police departments have switched to the new digital P25 MPSCS system. Frequencies for this system are listed under the MPSCS database. You will need a digital scanner capable of P25 trucking Phase 1 and capable of 800MHz systems. Fire is supposed to be switching within the next 2 weeks but has been delayed I believe.

Thank you so much for the quick response. I have a bcd325p. I just renewed my subscription so I will re program it (if I can remember how lol) and see what happens.

Ok, I re programmed it and it kind of works. It is very confusing though. I tried to seperate it in groups for county police, fire, state police, that kind of stuff. But it just kind of mixes it all together. TGID's come up that are not even listed, or that I didn't even program/deleted. And I get the same TGIDs and transmissions under different groups. Like I get state police dispatch in the county 911 group, or I will get the same tgid in the countly police group, state police and state CID? And I am still picking up ambulances and road crews even though I didn't program them in. And I have no way of knowing what is the sherrif, adrian police or any of that. Nor can I figure out how to filter them out if I want to. It just makes no sense lol. At least I pick stuff up now, I just don't know what I am listening to.

As for what I can get on analog it is pretty much just the fire department as far as police and fire go. I don't listen to other stuff.

I am not sure about your scanner but on my uniden scanner I am able to switch from ID Scan Mode to ID Search mode. In ID search mode it will scan the control frequency and any talk groups that are able to broadcast on that CC will be heard. If I change to ID Scan only the Talgroups I have programmed will be scanned and I will only receive those transmissions if that makes sense. If you look at the link I hopefully added it lists that talgroup ids etc.

While scanning Lenawee digital all you need to do is press FUNC and within 2 seconds press SCAN button, This will toggle ID search and ID Scan,

It was already in scan mode, I just tried both, pretty much the same results. It still pick up tgid's I don't even have programmed into it. 11164 specifically, sounds like the road crews or something. It never had this issue before. Maybe it something to do with how the county set up their system, or they are not done fiddling with it yet? It is entirely possible I just don't know what I am doing when setting it up too lol. Maybe I will just leave everything in it and check the "lock out" box instead of deleting it? Analog system were so much easier for me, I guess I just don't understand how the digital thing works. I get why they switched to it, it just isn't make it any easier on me lol. Somehow I don't think care about me though and I don't blame them lol. Guess its time to do some homework and do some reading. Like I said, at least it is actually picking stuff up now. Than you for the suggestions though.

I think I figured it out. I am using Free Scan to program my scanner and I had to switch each system/group to ID SCAN instead of search. It defaulted to SEARCH. So you guys were right, you just have to either do it when you set it up, or go into the menu and change it for each system. Using the quick toggle function thing didn't seem to have any effect on it.

And I printed out a list of TGID's and the comments/descriptions so I can look at that to get an idea of who I am hearing. It isn't perfect but it will work. I suppose in time I will know just based on voice. I mostly know the voices of the dispatch people anyway. Like I can tell the difference between the 911 dispatch and the State Police normally.

So it seems to be working correclty now. Thank you all for the help.

And incase anyone is interested I am getting the fire department on the digital system now too.

I am glad that you got it figured out.

Fire Departments are switching today to the new system. They will continue to multicast for a short time on the old frequencies, but if it is anything like the Police Dispatch this simulcast will be very short lived.

I live in Saline and for the life of me can not lock on the CC channel for lenawee. 853.875. I still get a few analog bit nothing in the 800's. I have left it on the CC channel for hours and not a bleep. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
