Can the Unication pagers accept an encryption key?
Yes, unfortunately. They can take ADP, DES-OFB, and AES keys per Unication.

Michigan counties bordering Indiana have site neighbors with those counties in Indiana.
Michigan, Indiana Join Public Safety Systems Across State Lines

Because one site is added? One site usually means one tower, but possibly multiple transmitters, antennas, and frequencies. Some counties only need one site, some have multiple for simulcast, but they can be added in any orderYea?... that's nothing new. Why only add one site?
Tones but not tones? MPSCS Muskegon County Simulcast, Talkgroup 3902 (61P911) Police Dispatch on August 5th 2021 at 6:17:42AM, 6:23:21AM and throughout the morning.
I have heard tones come accross like this before, but this one wont stop. Its more of a blip than a tone, and its muffled alot more compared to the actual tone.
Screenshot below highlights one of the many instances of the tone sound.
Link provided is a an audio clip that starts with the weird blip then it is heard throughout.

That's kind of weird eh... Encrypt the paging talkgroup yet everything else is in the clear.Marysville FD paging (tg 22334 and 22342) have been encrypted since mid June per DSD event logs (DES-OFB).
Any other areas doing this for fire paging?
Hope this isn't going to be the new trend

MPSCS will be adding frequencies to the Howell site (Livingston County) on August 26.
It will show edit history under the downloads and reports tabWhen a tower site is highlighted green or yellow, recent example Northville, what has changed with that site?
What changed? Just the name?It will show edit history under the downloads and reports tab
Yeah, i think most edits are formatting changesWhat changed? Just the name?
Changed Site # 006 (Northville) to 006 (Northville)
I’ve always wondered. Trying to keep up with any control channel frequency changes makes my head hurt. When I first had a Pro-96 there were maybe a dozen common control channel frequencies. But now when I travel throughout the state I try to be sure I’ve updated each tower before I go.Yeah, i think most edits are formatting changes
The MPSCS in conjunction with our vendor Motorola Solutions Inc will be adding channels to the below RF sites. This work will require a site outage which will disconnect all registered portable and mobile subscribers from the site. Surrounding RF sites will provide coverage for mobile subscribers while portable subscribers may experience limited coverage. To allow for issues such as system usage, dispatch emergencies, and weather events (fading), the window for completing this work is scheduled as follows: 1703 (Cochran Rd) 9/8/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 1706 (Jefferson Rd) 9/9/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 1704 (Jackson) 9/10/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 1109 (Channel 47) 9/13/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 1112 (Olivet) 9/14/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 1113 (Sunfield) 9/15/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 1107 (Delta) 9/16/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 7101 (Leland) 9/21/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 7702 (Onekema) 9/22/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 7108 (Traverse City) 9/23/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 7804 (Petoskey) 9/24/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 7107 (South Boardman) 9/27/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 7204 (Rogers City) 9/28/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 7207 (Alpena) 9/29/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) 7209 (Royston) 9/30/2021 from 11AM (1100) to 3PM (1500) |
