Portable 325P2, 436HP, SDS 100
Desktop 996P2, 536HP, SDS 200.
Register through Uniden and the DMR upgrade is $60 + tax.

This is what Mototrbo sounds like if not using a scanner capable of decoding:

@bailagent67 There is luckily not too much encryption being used in Mid-MI.
Isabella imho has the the most DMR/Mototrbo radio percentage wise of any county in the state. A matter of getting a scanner capable of that, your whistler/ radio shack cant.
Current Unidens, minus home patrol II with a paid upgrade can.
Maybe thinking those that use Mototrbo are encrypted, since many agencies use that?
Under MODE if it’s FMN it can be heard, DMR is Mototrbo and DMRE is encrypted.

Soaring Eagle is on motorbo, but are all encrypted.
Isabella police/jail are in the clear, county fire/casino fd - pd is, CMU PD as well. Mt, Pleasant fire still uses DMR/Mototrbo so you would need a scanner capable of that, along with a few fire stations proprietaries.
Road commission also Mototrbo, but are are... E! :sneaky: Police do and always have had one E tac talkgroup.
Midland city county PD are E, but rest of 911 in the clear.
Montcalm is in the clear, but PD soon will be E.
Clare, Gratiot, Mecosta, Osceola everything is in the clear. Gratiot road commission is Mototrbo, but are .... E! :sneaky:
Gladwin all are in the clear as they are still all analog.
Most schools are mototrbo.

Anyways there is a ton to tune in.

An SDS200 out your way is overkill since the selling point is to work in simulcast areas and closest would be Midland and Saginaw.
Also 145.150 is extremely chatty.
What service uses 145.150?

Isabella County Law Enforcement & Fire are on MPSCS.
They recently put up a new MPSCS tower right next to the building that houses Isabella County Central Dispatch and the MSP Mount Pleasant post.
That tower was put up to improve in-building coverage on the CMU campus and the big box stores on the south end of town.
