I just sold the Impala for a new car. If anyone wants the Jotto Desk its their's for 75.00 plus shipping.

Would you know if this would fit in a Chevy Lumina?

Surprised the front wheels didn't lift off the ground with that monster mounted on the back! Seriously though, nice setup!

Hey Dan,
First time I've run across your mobile communications center! That looked well thought out.....did you patch any of those holes or did you sell to another radio hobbyist? I'll look forward to seeing the next install!

See you at the upcoming hamfest.....

looks VERY good! 2 questions though -

1. would you please post a pic of the underside of the trunk? I am curious to see the reinforcement used

2. how did you convert the motorola speaker's adapter plug to 3.5mm needed to work with these radios? I have a few old Moto speakers lying around but they all have a male adapter of sorts and I can't find info on converting.

Thanks

Glenn,

Nice to hear from you my friend. I sold the car to my brother in law and no I didn't plug anything up. He said he was going to fix up the car and drive it to Buffalo everyday for work. We'll see how long that lasts with the gas prices.

Hope to see you at the ham fest as well. I really had a good time with you last year.

I can't take any pics of the trunk because I do not own the car anymore I just sold it and I took everything out of it.

As for the speaker, when I bought it, it had CDM1250 speaker plug on it. I just cut it off and soldered a 3.5mm on. There is no mod that you have to do, just cut off the old plug and solder on the new one. Easy has that.

Dan

***If anyone knows of anyone who would like to buy the console they can have it for 75.00 plus shipping. I no longer need it as I don't own this Impala any more***

Those Tarheel antennas are awesome. Never seen one mounted that way before but it works. Thanks for sharing
