Still doing tweaks - this is an older pic head mic is not attached. Its a 2 door so I need to maximize space. Used a molle panel, and got some 1.5 inch ram ball mount and a clamp ran wires through the front pillar and down.. The XTL 5000 brick is behind passenger seat. Its the UHF 380-470 with Midland antenna mounted outside on my hi lift jack carrier that I do not use. Did not take a pic of that. I have the it wired where I turn it on and off myself and don't need the jeep on. I also have a reverse charging power station hook up to charge my battery if the radio kills the battery if I leave it on for an extended time by accident. The screen you see cut off at the bottom is my iPad 10 inch for flac music, gps, etc..Heavy duty optimus battery in the Jeep.

I went with the Bluetti platform..

They make a DC Charger 2 - along with a AC 200L, So The DC Charger 2 hooks to your battery and the AC 200L hooks to the Dc charger 2 -

So when you are driving the alternator charges your AC 200L and the DC Charger 2 has an option to reverse charge the battery to keep it topped off and then it automatically stops when its done.

So I run my Starlink Mini off of the AC 200L, and laptop and power tools if needed in the car, and you can charge all the mobile devices and radio batteries....LOL look it up... Kind of pricey but they way the world is going now - disgruntled employees, bullied kids, road rage, you can have power in your vehicle etc.. for the Covid Zombie Apocalypse. The have other models just look and see the features.. It works great and you have a piece of mind

Nice. Always enjoy seeing people's installs. Just a heads up in case you're new here, don't be surprised if people give suggestions (perhaps strongly) about how things are mounted, etc. It's natural to want to react with "well it's my install not yours" which is 100% true. But, most often the input is simply to help vs not.

For example, it looks like some Ram arms are attached and may be draped over where the passenger side airbag would deploy. That's a bad idea if that is the case. Of course, that could have been temporary or may be completely different now but things like that really can cause issues in an accident. In fact, we know of stories where people likely would have zero injuries had something they had installed in their vehicle not become a flying object.

That said, I will say it's your install not mine so I recognize it is 100% your decision and perhaps things aren't as they appear in that one image.

Certainly a nice set of radios, etc. We always enjoy seeing installs!

That ball mount is completely unnecessary and in the way. Why not just bolt the head bracket right to the mole panel?

Didn't have a solid mounting point because I have the molle panel connected into that structure and I wanted to have some pivoting in there with the reflections and sunlight.

Yes makes sense.. I normally don't have passengers but i will look into it. Just tight for space.
