I have come across two mystery frequencies. The first one I posted here in September 2009 and it is 454.46875 and it appears to be part of an LTR system. I am getting the following system information 0-10-198 R10 this is for Sam units (obviously a security company) I am also getting 0-10-102 and this is Spanish speaking. In a previous post I was told this was part of Fresno Mobile Radio Service. After doing a FCC search for Fresno Mobile Radio using their FRN I was not able to find this frequency as being licensed to them.
The second frequency is 459.4750 and I heard transportation dispatch and a trans unit talking.
I checked the FCC database and it did not show either of these frequencies licensed in the State of California.
Can anyone help identify these frequencies?

459.4750 is the mobile side of 454.4750, which is licensed to Fresno Mobile Radio (KMA830, KNLQ235, and WPVQ302). 454.46875 is also Fresno Mobile Radio (WPVE511).

Cooks trunk system

Hi Matt...you are listening to the Cooks communications (Fresno mobile radio) LTR system channels. 0-10-198 is the group for Fresno Security. Program your scanner in LTR format in this exact way to correctly receive this system...

Channel #1 461.450
#2 454.300
#3 454.175
#4 454.050
#5 461.725
#6 454.400
#7 454.100
#8 454.150
#9 463.650
#10 454.475 (this is home repeater for much of the system)
#11 000.000 no entry here, leave it blank
#12 000.000
#13 000.000
#14 454.375
#15 000.000
#16 454.225
#17 461.700
#18 454.025
#19 000.000
#20 000.000

Good luck finding FCC records for this system. Cooks doesn't think they need to formally license it....they just reuse frequencies from past licensed systems they had, cobble them together, and fire up an LTR system and load it with tons of $$$$ paying users.

Actually, they don't need to formally license it. It operates under a Part 22 license for the Fresno market. No individual site license required.

Is this system in the DB already? If not, please submit information.

The DB is only as good as the users that share the information they have :)

Shane thank you for the information. Are the companies that are licensed for different radio services allowed to put systems together from different license to create new systems? I have found a couple of other Fresno Mobile Radio truncked systems in UHF and VHF, is there anything I need to do differently when programing these into my scanner? I am now using a PRO 106 and that helps when putting LTR systems in as it will arrange the frequencies in order.

Again thanks for your help.

Hello,

Feel free to post it. This is just one of several trunked systems that Cooks Communications operates.I have very little user identification for it.

Matt,
I'm not sure how Cooks came to put all these various frequencies together to form this particular system. Like I said, I think they just cobbled together several channels from past licenses. You will notice they seem to have different callsigns.

Some of the useers on this system are...

SPCA 0-10-088
SPCA Ch 2 0-10-089

Roundup Transportation 0-10-111

Falcon Security0-10-034
Unk Security 0-10-244
" " 0-10-139

You will just have to listen to confirm others.

Cooks trunking system

This is just one of several systems Cooks Communications operates. It was identified after downlodaing the radio program of one of the users on the system (another grumpy guard also...Ha-ha!)

This is about the only way to positively determine the actual system frequencies, as they sure don't seem to license them in the proper format under FCC rules.

Also a correction to the Fresno Mobile Radio system that was posted on the truncked systems for Fresno Co. Talk Group 0-02-145 I believe is Turner Security as I saw one of their vehicles at routinely dispatched location.

Shane thank you for all of your assistance in identifying this system and some of the talk groups. It's great when we all work together.
