Hey i am looking to buy a new scanner and i have been reading all the stickys but i still have a question. If i buy a BCT 15 what counties will it work with? Im mainly concerned with PG county (mainly fire and UMPD), Mongomery, and AA County.

For Montgomery and Anne Arundel Counties, you need to be looking at a digital capable scanner. Anne Arundel isn't digital yet but will be within the next year. It has been rumored for some time that PG is getting a new system and it will likely be digital too.

PG's proposed digital system won't be coming in for a while,a few years at the minimum, it's supposed to be phase II P25, AKA TDMA.which no current scanner will do....

pick up a 396 if you need a portable, or a 996 if you need a mobile.
