If using SDR# using the I/Q output I think talkgroup information etc is displayed, but must admit it’s been a while since I monitored DMR that way.

Sure is an expensive choice to use it as an SDR device, when there are already several SDR programs & devices that will do basically everything the DV3 claims to do, and more.
I would think an output to a nice display / monitor would be desirable over simply controlling it with an SDR program, but I digress.

Just had this thought... anybody watching this thread happen to own a AR5700? Does it display TGID for DMR? Does its ICD/remote commands support showing meta data about Digital Voice systems( like TGID, TS, etc )

I hope the recording file will contain the frequency or memory name and not just 000xxx.wav. Would be great to include the tg-id etc.

I can’t see a reference to reading talkgroup ID etc using remote commands and there doesn’t seem to be a way to display these on the radio itself. Only slot and colour code are shown for DMR on the LCD.

Correct the AR5700 does not display TGID’s.

From everything I am reading so far on this receiver, going to pass on it. Will still keep an eye on reviews and forums to see how it goes though. Hopefully, it becomes a good receiver.

Sad a Whistler TRX series, and a Uniden SDS series scanner will show you all that on DMR, NXDN & P25, and at about half the cost.

Was hoping this receiver would give Icom R8600 a run for its money. Kind of regret selling mine but prefer handhelds. My R30 and now R15 has me covered.

I don't know if anyone answered this, but the reason P25 phase 2 won't work is the voice channels won't decode without receiving the control channel at the same time (simplified).

Icom and AOR really need to figure this out at some point. I know it's doable in software but...
