From Scanner Master Support yesterday: "We should have another shipment of the hard leather cases in stock in a week or two (we sold out of the first batch very quickly). We just got the nylon and soft leather cases in today."

For those who have a case for the 150, do you take the 150 out of the case to charge on the cradle or just charge the 150 via USB? Trying to decide if I should get a case and which charging method to go with.

With such an expensive scanner I want it in a case when I’m out and about but if it’s going to stay at home I would use the cradle I’m not fully sure which way I will charge long term as this is the first time I have a cradle

I keep my SDS100 n' BCD436HP at home. The SDS100 is in a cradle, I need to find one for my BCD436HP.

I bought a leather and a nylon case. I will just keep the one I don't like as much for a spare. If I could see them before I bought them that would have been nice, but..

I broke down and bought a hard leather case. I agree with @noaim that with as much as the scanner costs, having a case will probably be well worth it.

I hope that I don't have to end up doing mods like I have had to do so many times in the past, such as trimming, making it flat on the bottom, etc. The non flat bottom thing annoyed me no end. On one case, I ended up hot gluing a 1/8" piece of oak onto the bottom to solve it. There was a seam dead center of the bottom. I don't know what radio that was anymore, but it was about 25 years ago. Another case had to be resewed. That one was bad QC, the one with the seam was just a bad design.

I had the nylon case for the 100 and it was nice. I currently have the hard leather for the 150 and its not bad. The other 2 come tomorrow so I will report back

The nylon case arrived today. I like the cutout for the belt clip knob that's attached to the back of the scanner. The nylon case for the 100 had room in the back to allow for keeping the knob attached but the 150 case has dedicated space for it.

So my leather case arrived today. Overall I am happy with it. I noticed the radio is nice and snug which means I have to really ensure I push the radio in all the way otherwise the "System / Department / Channel" softkeys hide between the two "windows" in the center of the case. Did a test run with the radio; kept it in my inner coat pocket inside the case while listening to it through the u/ware app while walking around town. Had no issues whatsoever. The hottest the battery got was an even 100 degrees and, after about 3.5 hours, the battery went from fully charged to 3.71 volts. I think this was a good purchase, especially if it keeps me from breaking the radio by accidentally dropping it :D

I've avoided carrying it anywhere until I get a case on it. Glad to see it looks like the case will work out of the box/bag.

I bought the hard case. It's a very snug fit, so I use the USB port for charging. It's more convenient.
my soft leather and nylon case are out for delivery I will see whats easier as you are right about the hard leather

I have both hard and soft leather and neither scanner will fit in the charging cradle with the scanner inside.

Neither does mine. And even if it did the battery contacts would not connect to the charger. When I get home I pull the scanner out of the case and onto the charger. When I travel I put it back in the case. Slightly annoying bit tolerable.
