Also, please let me know if it loads OK in your DV10. The first line of each file (memory and bank) contains the date and time created, in the format yyyy/mm/dd hh:mm:ss. I am not sure if the radio itself requires a different format due to region. My radio is a non-US version, and it works fine in mine. I'd like to know if it works in other people's radios as well.

Thanks for the debugging help!

I will inform you when it works and when it doesn't work. It can take a few days.

In the instructions it says 'See the "Values" tab for allowable values'.
I don't see that tab.

Accidentally left that tab hidden. Not home all day. I put up a copy with it unhidden later tonight. You can also just look at the drop down list in each column.

When I look at a drop down list I see "TMO Tetra" for example.
Should I have that text in the CSV file or should it be a number?
Now I'm using trial and error to get it working. It would help me a lot if you provided an example of a CSV file to paste into the CSV import tab. Then I will know whether to use quotes around frequencies, where to use commas, where to use dots, et cetera.

What goes in the tool is what is in the drop down lists. The tool converts to the correct numeric values for the radio. There should not be quotes in any columns. There should not be commas in any fields.

An example of multiple types is a great idea. I'll put better example data in the next release, as well as more detailed instructions and perhaps some per column instructions at the top of each column.

Except for Receive Frequency?
I see a comma in the Receive Frequency in your spreadsheet, but a dot in the Frequency Step.

Ok. Not at PC so I can't look at it. If there's a comma in the example, then put one in your data.
But because of "There should not be quotes in any columns." the commas in the frequencies will be seen as field seperators. I will wait for an example instead of using trial and error.

The commas might be because of regional settings. I'm in the US and the value probably shows as a decimal. I can do a workaround for that, too.

I just checked on my laptop. It's definitely the regional settings (shows as decimals on mine). I'll put in a workaround to convert commas to decimals when it writes the files. That way, you won't have to edit every row to replace the commas with decimals. New version coming in a few minutes.

Did a bit of research. I think it will work without changes because of the way I format the output string. Please try it with either my sample data or a small sample of your data. Don't change the commas that you see in the spreadsheet to decimals. I think it will convert it correctly when it writes the output files. After you write the output files, open the memory channel CSV file it produces in a text editor (not excel). Look at the rows that start with MC1. The 4th field is the receive frequency. It should contain a decimal, regardless of your regional settings. The next 2 columns in the output CSV, Frequency Step and Step Adjust Frequency, should also contain decimals.

That's not necessary for me. I had dots in the frequencies, but changed them to commas because I saw commas in the frequencies in your spreadsheet. OMG, those regional setting!

I made a CSV file and tried to paste it to the CSV Import tab. But the CSV Import tab is a protected sheet. It has a lock at the left side of its name.
Did you do this to make your code invisible, or is it because I don't have a Microsoft 365 subscription?
I see "The cell or chart you're trying to change is on a protected sheet. To make a change, unprotect the sheet. You might be requested to enter a password."
And maybe it's better to use "Hz" instead of "HZ" in the Step Adjust Frequency dropdown list. You use "Hz" in the Frequency Step dropdown list.

You should still be able to copy/paste into the sheet. Yes, it's protected, but the columns for entering data are unlocked. I got my data into it by copy/paste, but I did copy/paste from another excel sheet, not a CSV file. Can you try to open your CSV in a separate excel sheet, then copy/paste from there to see what happens? Next version will enable opening and importing a CSV, which will make it easier.

Oh, now I understand it. I don't have to supply the bank and memory channel numbers. All the banks and memory channels are already in your spreadsheet. I saw that after I scrolled down.
Yes, I can paste the frequencies. And guess what....regional setting problems again.
When I use frequencies like 421.0875 I get
42.108.750
42.111.250
42.113.750
42.116.250
42.118.750
and when I use frequencies like 421,0875 I get
421
421
421
421
421

Later this week I will continue.

Yikes. I can take a different approach to parsing the frequencies (and other columns that have decimals/commas) to avoid the regional issues. I'll look at it later tomorrow. Should be able to get a new version by sometime Thursday.

Thans again for the testing assistance.

I took the easy way and changed the "Number separators" of my macOS. I don't think that's a problem for my other applications.
I will test writing to the radio later this week, maybe today.
Of course I can test a new version if you want to make it regional independent.

Once I've done that, then I can add a feature to do the reverse - what you are requesting - open an existing DV10 CSV file and put it in the spreadsheet. That will be easy.
This would be great. Because I don't have a Microsoft 365 subscription I can't save the Excel spreadsheet. I would prefer this over region independence.
