Gordon or Lindsay,

One of y'all may want to look at a possible bug with the "New Feed Listing" list. For some reason, new feeds are entered at random in the list and some don't make the list at all due to it being shorter than the old scanamerica. I've noticed it doing that for awhile but figured it would be fixed eventually.

Like today, the Fort Wayne, IN Police feed listing is below the NJ/PA listing near the middle of the list. I checked about 1am eastern last night and the Fort Wayne listing wasn't there but the NJ/PA one was, thus the Fort Wayne probably should be at the top of the list I would think. Just something to look at once you get everything else figured out.

Just as an update to this, I just noticed that the Chicago Police Citywides feed and the Alameda County CalFire feeds never made the "new feeds" list. I check the list everyday, sometimes 2-3 times a day and was surprised when I checked the Chicago area and saw one of the feeds that I wanted lol. Not sure why some feeds appear and some don't on the list.

Basically, the new feed entries are not being inserted in chronologically added order. They are being inserted at random in the new feed list and sometimes not at all. Like just this evening for instance, the New Hanover County & Wilmington Fire feed wasn't in the list about 8 hours ago, but I just checked now and it's listed in the middle of the list with several other feeds above and below it that was already there elr today. Not sure what would be causing that lol. I've noticed this happened at least 3 times this week.

Jason,

All of the feeds displayed in the in the new feed list are in chronologically added order... I just checked them... all of them over the past 200+ added feeds are properly displayed. I'm not sure what is driving you to the conclusion that they are being randomly listed...??

It's possible that you are seeing a feed that was added but not yet brought online - therefore you might see a feed show up on the middle because it's added date was different than the time it first came online. We don't show feeds on the site that have been added, but never come online. Some folks just never bring a feed online.

New feeds should show up when the server begins receiving audio from the provider after approval of the feed.
So it depends on when the feed provider starts sending audio.

Ahh that would exactly be it Richard. Would explain why it sometimes shows up in the middle of the list and sometimes not at all as feeds are being added more quickly than usual and the list isn't long enough. I'm sure a longer list is on the things to do in the future once some other stuff gets taken care of lol.
