Same again today. Not a ton of voice traffic, but plenty of affiliations. Seems to be the same 15-20 some-odd RID's in that 2470001-2470203 range on all talkgroups though.

My last post on this since there's nothing we can do anyway.

Maybe Newark PD testing ?

A little off topic, 59056 is active on 800 Troop C today. I have enough signal to decode it on Unitrunker but not to listen to.

Another new REMCS TG identified. TG 4759 seems as if it was tactical with many units at some type of event. The crew boss 505 switched all units to channel 9 (UASI 4). I would conclude the TG block 475x is University Hospital units in Newark. I will be setting up a new department block of TG Id’s. Not sure what DB Admin wants to do at this point.

Yesterday on NJ Transit South Patrol, there was 1 unit that was using encryption for a bit. It lasted a couple of hours, then he turned it back off. No one else used it during that period.

It's been confirmed to me recently in a PM that all units have it selectable on their radios & every now & then the officer will accidentally bump the switch on the top of the portable...

If they're following the plan those RID's should be County of Bergen. As to what county agency, no clue.

upon further investigation, the RID numbers do line up as assigned to Bergen (County 2, Whereas any towns in Passaic are (county16) and so on
But Bergen has its own trunk P2 with 700 allocation being build out and county LE tg's are encrypted,
and it did sound like LE type comms - in the clear.....
maybe a future tie-in between systems or a mutual aid TG was active for use this past week
...

Wonder if it’s a town/s that could be joining up? I did some research and couldn’t find anything on Bergen County.

Doubt it because they'd use the municipality number as the RID prefix. That is a County proper ID for Bergen County. Possibly some new interop channel or testing therefor?

Showing Atlantic Health EMS radios (RID 2490xxx) being denied on the Telegraph Hill site to a new TG yesterday (TG 4761). I also logged a bunch of denials on Wildwood Crest radios (RID 515xxx) and showing NJ National Guard talkgroups affiliating for the first time for me on NJICS (TG 1797 1F and 3621 2B Guard).

So for the first time since moving 4 years ago I found the proper configuration in my downstairs office in order to pickup the Bordentown Simulcast. So decoding it for the first time in forever in Pro96Com I find that Mobile Site 21 is showing up as a peer today along with Site 60 (3C) with a CC of 853.43750. Just found that interesting since that freq is assigned to 3 IR's on the 800 system but its reading SYS ID of 39A. I put 853.4375 in my scanner but didn't pick up a control channel from my house.
