One issue is with NJTPD...they have North Patrol and South Patrol talkgroups and I mainly hear south since many of their road units are on the simulcast sites. For the north...I don't hear them as much unless one of their vehicles affiliates on the southern simulcast or the stand alone site near me.

I thought NJ Transit was encrypted?

Site 29 (Rutgers) is no longer in wide mode ("isolated" in DSD+ terms), with a new Site 8 now appearing as a peer of the Hunterdon simulcast cell, using the same 774.79375 control channel that Site 29 was previously using.

The single digit/lower number sites have historically been simulcast cells, and so it stands to reason that Site 8 is also some sort of simulcast cell. Whether or not one of the subsites is still at Rutgers remains to be seen.

Well that was interesting. I will be extra careful w terminology. Back to GTR8000 OP. The DB is no longer accurate as it pertains to Rutgers, seems to me. With a DB import to a Unication w a incorrect site number will not work.

I hear RWJ 4407 4409 4415 and related TG’s and New Brunswick Fire and that is about it.

I believe I used to hear on Site 29 non-affiliated TG’s such as Parks and Fish and Game. These TG’s seem to appear on most Simulcast cells and stand alone sites most of the time. No longer on Site 8 (29).

Site 8 for now carries a limited amount of traffic compared to other sites.

Correct, it will not work because the site number is now 8, no longer 29. In fact, today they removed all references to 29 in the system, it no longer appears as an isolated site.

I have submitted the update to the database, just hasn't been processed yet.

there are, but i hear a clear comm sometimes

NJTPD is encrypted but its still a training curve to have folks set their radios to use it. The radios will be strapped so that its always on when using the main channels. The option later will be to have another zone or channels that can be either or in case there is a need for interop with other agencies that may have the NJTPD TG's...

these as well as the above are just hits with no audio.... (possibly E) TG 4785 and 4769

4769 is an NJSP channel that several users have reported as a possible joint operations channel between the State police and the US Secret Service.
4785 is also an NJSP channel. Both are 100% encrypted since I began logging them some time ago.

FWIW, since late 2016 there has been and still currently is Secret Service stationed at Trump Bedminster full time for the forseeable future. ;)

I can’t receive Site 8 from my house but it’s showing as a peer to Telegraph Hill. It’s not showing on any of the other sites I can pick up in Monmouth County (can’t get Bordentown well enough anymore)
