Looks like more Phase 2 traffic can be heard. I noticed today NMSP Dist 1 Santa Fe has switched to Phase 2 TDMA. Also saw some encryption being used same channel. Maybe state is going to move to full encryption or maybe they were just testing.

Interesting. They are probably converting all of the Phase1 talkgroups to Phase2 on the system.

Ah thats who that is. I have been trying to figure out who these users are today. Allot of testing today. 175, 177, 14610 and 14666 also active. 175 & 177 were D1 audio and 14610 & 14666 were D2. 175 sounded like NMSP CAT team or NMCD Parole arrest team. Also appears all three of these new sites 769.45625, 770.68125, and 769.15625 are Abq metro sites. 769.15625 very faint from my location downtown but the other two are strong.

Here is the new site info for Site 111 in Abq metro. Please see the log attached. Haven't identified exact location for this one yet but it is coming in strong near downtown Abq area.
Site-111 (T010B) ID 854
c769.45625
a769.70625
a769.95625
a770.15625

Also, shows Abq neighbor Site-110 (T010A) ID 854 which i am barely able to receive from downtown. Unfortunately this one doesn't come in strong enough for me to log with Pro96com from my location currently.
c769.15625

Haven’t heard any Tac channel traffic yet. Be interesting to see if those are all online as well.

Kinda weird they would put a site in that location with Sandia Creat site directly above it unless the signal transmission is going over them.

I noticed another active control channel on 774.28125. But this is listed as a voice channel on the Sandia Crest site. Could this be an Alternate Control channel for Sandia site maybe? Pro96com doesn’t list it as an Alt control for that site? Have any of you guys seen this before?

Confirmed the tower site with my 436 without the antenna on. I just noticed yesterday, that Abqscan added 6 new frequencies to the Sandia Crest site, maybe that frequency is one of the alternates.

I have a quick question for those of you who are currently monitoring or trying to Monitor the newest NM DTRS Trunked System & the BCFD's. Should this be downloaded & programmed as a P25 Standard Trunk or should it be programmed as a P25 X2-TDMA Trunked System in Sentinel for the BCD536HP?

I am asking because when I download the NM Statewide DTRS System directly through Sentinel for my BCD536HP, it downloads & imports as a regular P25 Trunked System even though on RadioReference, it is clearly stated that "Some talkgroups on this system are using Project 25 Phase II TDMA modulation". However on my own, I can & have to manually program & add the NM DTRS System in Sentinel for it to specifically be programmed as a Project 25 Phase II TDMA Trunked System on my Scanner.

Looks like BCFD is on the new system now.
14610 - BCFD Fire Control (Dispatch) TDMA

I personally have not been hearing anything in the last 3 to 4 days with my Uniden BCD536HP & the programmed BCFD Talkgroup 14610. It has been totally silent on my end up here in the Sandia Mountains of NM with hearing anything from BCFD on my Scanner. Possibly 100% encrypted as of now on the BCFD Talkgroup 14610 it seems as for I was hearing BCFD Traffic off & on this Talkgroup for a little over a Week & now, nothing & totally silent for much days after. Seems strange to me. Anybody else noticing this with the BCFD Talkgroup 14610?

Corwin,

Pretend X2 doesn't exist. All new P25 sytems are standard. You scanner will decode TDMA TGs all by itself. There is nothing you need to do.

Same here. 14610 BCFD Dispatch has been silent the last week. Can only here the dispatch on the ProVoice system. They may have just been testing and or still fine tuning as the system is still being rolled out. Don’t think this TG will be encrypted. I might be wrong but this is my guess as they tweak and switch over things.

Also, Corwin exactly like Erik said above, I have both my 436 & 536 programmed as a standard P25 system for the NM DTRS. It decodes any new TDMA TG’s on its own along with standard Phase 1 audio. As long as you have the search option turned on in Sys Options for that system you will hear any new unidentifiable TG’s that are TDMA as well.

This is where a single band 700/800Mhz antenna can really help pull in D2 signals.
