I have an Uniden Bearcat BCD396XT digital scanner and have not been able to set it up for the new Tippecanoe and Lafayette P-25. Does anyone have anyone help?

Has anyone got a Pro-96 to track the new Tippecanoe County P25 system? It is tracking the Safe-T system just fine.

Pro-96/2096 won't do Phase 2 and the Tipp system is phase 2 TDMA
This actually is a Phase I system. So yes a 96 or 2096 will work on it. Only licensed for FDMA emissions, and so far only FDMA has been detected on it.

Well I have a uniden 396t and 996t both tracking the new P25 Tippecanoe county system so I don't believe it is phase II system. Neither of my uniden scanners are phase II capable. Also have a pro-197 tracking the new system. For some reason the pro-96 will not track it and I have no idea why
Pro 96 and Pro 2096 will not do the New System in Lafayette,,, It is simulcast..... People are getting confused with this P25 phase 1 and 2 and so on.. I have both radios 96 and 2096 and it will not do the simulcast system in Lafayette... Sorry for the spelling...
Yes Bleazenb... both those radios work find on the new sytem in Lafayette,,,, I have the 996t and the 996xt plus homepatrol 2 and they pick it up just fine.

Ok I now understand that the new P25 Tippy system is a phase 1 system, thats why the rest of my older scanners are tracking it fine.. What does the simulcast configuration of their system keep the pro96 from tracking it?

It shouldn't. The system we use here is an even bigger simulcast and i have 2 96 on it. Make sure you have no rebanded bandplan. Make sure you use cc only.

I know, just don't understand it. Have a pro-197 working fine on the Tippy system. Tried everything I know on the 96 and it will not work. Works great on the Safe-T sytem though.
Thought Indy was on Safe-T p-25 Phase 1 ????? Or is the database wrong...

Ok have a chance to pick up a used Pro-106, anyone have one tracking the Tippy P25 system?
I do and it works good on The new system in Lafayette.

LOL thanks for the Pro 2096 offer! think I'll pick up a 106. Any idea why the pro 96 won't work with new tippy system. Still puzzels me why the 197 works but 96 won't. Very little spec difference that I can see if you compare the two.
Not sure where you are seeing that SAFE-T P25 is anything but Phase I.

Indy is on the Indianapolis Department of Public Safety family of systems. As is listed in the db. Marion county, Hamilton county and Madison county all us that set of 4 P25 phase I LSM simulcast. Each has 8 or more towers.
