I just bought a radio shack pro-404 and I have programmed the frequency's for our fire department but I am having some issue's with the audio. While I am scanning my freq's. and the dispatcher tones out the fd I can here that, but I can't here the apparatus when they call en-route. I'm not sure why all I know is the only person I can hear is the dispatcher. Can anybody help me please.

Maybe you need a scanner that picks up the EDACS system that Pasco County uses? I did not see a conventional frequency for the fire department other than the dispatch channel. However, with the Pasco County EDACS system, there are 5 talkgroups listed specifically for Zephyrhills Fire Department. Hopefully this helps you.

Okay

Okay, would that have to be a trucking scanner or what. See I am new to this and I am not entirly sure of all the terminoligy used, or do I just need to find a scanner that will pick up the edacs or what ever it was?

You need a t r u N k i n g scanner. The two major types of trunking systems are EDACS and Motorola. In an EDACS system, the frequencies MUST be in specific channels in your scanner. In the RR database, the small number in front of a frequency is the channel number in your scanner where you have to put that freq.
