New Shack!

Check out the new shack! Still working on getting all the wires hidden and what not but excited to get it setup.

Flex 5000A w/ ATU HF Radio
TE Systems 0552G 6 Meter Amplifier
Ameritron AL-811H HF Amplifier
Ameritron RCS-4 Switch Panel Box
CDE Rotor Control Box
Dell 24" Flat Screen
Dell I5 XPS8350 Desktop Computer
Gateway NV59 Laptop Computer

Tower:
50 foot Rohn 25G Tower in 4 feet of concrete and house bracketed.
Cushcraft A4S w/ 40 Meter Add On Kit
M2 6m5x 6 Meter Beam
Diamond V2000 6/2/440 Vertical Antenna
All antennas are fed with LMR400 Coax.

Let me know whatcha think, like I said work in progress but going to get the wires hidden and that will fix the ugly alot!

I have to run a new outlet to the side where the monitor is so thats why you see a black wire running across to the power outlet to the side where the amplifiers are.

Again, don't bash the strip. There are no outlets on either wall where my desk is so I am having to install some once that is done then the 6 plug strip will disappear

Everything in it's place for ease of use and then there's that tower. Man that just makes everything down hill. Right down to your radios and scanners! Great set up you have, and I'm sure you'll be making lots of contacts with your system.

That's a GREat looking tower and by lQQking at the Pro-197's Meade Co SO 151.0100 FM freq,
I would say that your "middle of nowhere" in up in the tip of Kentucky right next to Indiana !
Do you also monitor your Meade Co SO(TG#5851) & FD(TG#5855) on the Fort Knox P25 TRS ?

Thanks for all the compliments so far.

I am about 770 ASL plus 59 at the tip of the antenna takes it to right at 830ASL at the tip so that isn't too bad.

Now for some of your questions

I would say that your "middle of nowhere" in up in the tip of Kentucky right next to Indiana !
- I am in Breckinridge County

Do you also monitor your Meade Co SO(TG#5851) & FD(TG#5855) on the Fort Knox P25 TRS ?
-No I haven't got a chance to set up the scanner to do that yet, I'm using WIN500 to program the 197 so still trying to figure out how to load it up with all that stuff.

Is your Radio Shack Pro-197 Digital Scanner connected to the Diamond V2000 6/2/440 Vertical Antenna ?
- Yes it is and works quite well, I plan on putting a scantenna up on the side of the tower soon just haven't got a chance to do so yet.

Its very narrowbanded when it comes to the SWR so make sure you tune it correctly but I can't complain, works everyone I want to work DX or stateside.

Just make sure your SWR is right before you get it way up in the air and it will be fine.
