I monitor the NSRS in Northern Nevada (Washoe Cnty) I did an update to my sds100 and noticed a difference in the TGID's. Has anyone noticed this? Also would it have any significant difference in monitoring? Just as a side note the old TGID'S are still operational.

Are you still listening to EDACS, or the new P25 system.

A note from the new NSRS P25 system:

NSRS P25 State of Nevada Talkgroup numbers are equal to NSRS EDACS Talkgroup number (in Decimal) plus 10,000.
NSRS P25 County and City Talkgroup numbers are equal to NSRS EDACS Talkgroup number (in Decimal) plus 30,000.
NV Energy P25 Talkgroup numbers are equal to EDACS Talkgroup number (in Decimal) plus 60,000.

Early on there seemed to be an initiative to change all the TG's using this theory, however in practice it seemed to be a bit more complicated as some TG's did not follow this pattern.

So, not sure if that explains anything at all in your case.

I just log any new TG's that jump out and see if there is a match with the EDACS system on another radio. As long as you have ID search on, you shouldn't miss anything.

Thanks for the reply "afchev", I monitor both EDACS & P25. I'm still researching. Your response does help. But as I said I haven't noticed any difference (that I've noticed) .

Okay, thank you anyway. I was wondering if NHP has switched over to P25 yet.
From what I understand based on the attached link, NHP has fully adopted the new P25 system in Southern Nevada, although EDACS is still working.

My experience, I loaded up all the new TG's based on the RR Database, and was finding "undiscovered" Talk groups that turned out to be known talk groups, just under a different ID number. Example: one of the Nevada DOT talk groups was ported from the database as 60XXX but turned out to actually show up as 61XXX. Maybe not exactly, but that's the idea behind it anyway.
