SDS100/SDS200: New to SDS200 - Nothing to scan

I am sure this is asked often. I just got a SDS200, I used the zip service feature built in and it just has way too much that I dont want to listen to. I wiped the scanner to factory default and then launched Proscan and imported the system i want from RR after adding my login info. The I chose "scanner write" and wrote the "Favorite" to the scanner. I verified it with a "scanner read". Started the scanner up normally and it just says " Scan Mode. Nothing To Scan"

What am i missing?

Did you turn on the catagories (service types) for them? If not, nothing to scan will happen.

Service types were my bugaboo when I got my SDS100, so I'd start there, first.

If all else fails, I have a Pro Scan file for York and Lancaster Counties. I use it in my SDS scanners when we visit my son and his family. It also has SCHP information. I know most of Lancaster County Public Safety is encrypted, but the York County stuff works fine. It doesn't have everything that you show in your file, but I think it will be a decent starting point.

Definitely look at the Nothing to Scan article in the Wii. There are seemingly 87 different settings that can cause that error message to pop up.

As described in the wiki Nothing to Scan article, the first things I would check are:

1. Make sure the Favorites List is enabled
2. Make sure Quick Keys are enabled
3. Make sure Service Types are enabled
4. If Location Control is enabled, make sure your location is set properly
