New TPD designators.

Just got a printed list from UDN of the shift change/division change info.
For all the scanner freaks it is going to be confusing for awhile indeed.

UDN Will be
Adam,baker,charlie,david and Union,union is admin captains etc.

UDE
edward,frank,george,henry and victor,victor is admin captains etc.

UDSW
ida,john,king,lincoln and zebra. zebra is admin captains etc.

The detectives which are now victor units will become MARY and PAUL.

Chiefs section remains robert

Canine or k-9 which are now king units will be x-ray and are listed under support.

training units are Tom.

SOT/Bomb squad are Young

SID will be william

chaplains are still nora's.


So get ready. This change happens the last sunday in august i am told.

Sounds like the new radio changes have gone in effect. I have heard Baker and Charlie on 7D 30736 and I'm still trying to figure out where everyone else has gone and who has what beat. Is anyone else listening this Sunday aternoon and evening?

not yet. whats happening this afternoon and tonight is that officers are overwhelmed with calls on the east side and they are having to assign officers from other divisions to come in to their division to help.the actual above mentioned change over is the last sunday in August....I heard charlie and henry squad on 7d 30736 around 11 pm tonight busy busy busy, and a full moon makes for lots of 911 calls.

What types of radios will work and what frequencies will be used?

right now everything stays the same radio and freq and subfleet wise, just the designators and number of squads is changing.

:? As of the day shift change this morning the new designators are now in effect. Sounds like everyone is slighty confused and is having trouble logging on to their MDT's. Does anyone have current up to date list of the beats as of today? I don't even know what squad I'm in and I used to be in Edward/Frank Squad.
