Well, they were supposed to be testing yesterday and today. Haven't heard anything though.
I recently came across this pdf by the Dept. Of US Homeland Security and find it very imformative. It includes many frequencies that will be used during major events/or God forbid disasters (at least the first 60 pages). https://www.dhs.gov/xlibrary/assets/nifog-v1-4-resized-for-pda-viewing.pdf
171.250 is a digital simulcast of 470.7125, Citywide 2. Very strange. I do hear them calling some units "agents" and some "officers"
I thought Obama did away with them, just kidding.
I never herd anyone conducting operations on that during channel the protest just hear a steady stream on the nyc citywide channel come across in digital mode. unless they just had people standing by for some reason to help out. N2ZGE heard something mentioned about agents and officers. who knows.
I did not hear any comms on the channel...just a patch from Citywide 2. Even if they did want to talk, no one could have broken that carrier !
Can anything from down there be heard in northern Sussex County area in the 07851 area code ?
What exactly are you thinking you'll hear from the FBI? Remember they aren't a dispatched type of law enforcement agency. They aren't driving round patrolling waiting for a call. All the channels used are pretty much accounted for in the database. What you hear is what you hear. Much is also conducted via cell phones. I hear rolling surveillance frequently in the clear. But depending on the day it my be all encrypted. Most of what you hear other than the rolling surveillance is pretty boring too.
