?? $290 ?? or did you mean $270 which is the Regions wide-area Repeater.

Seems like Federal protective services has gone fully coded now on their 408.200 repeater (nac 290). the encryption was used very infrequently in the past but now seems to be in use full time pretty much.

These new repeaters are pretty active and sound good.

Dropped off someone this morning early at Newark airport, TSA was using 171.7625 pl 123.0 with voice inversion at the terminal A checkpoints.

I still hear sandy hook in P25 all the time, just curious if anyone has heard any other new national park service repeaters come on line since Sandy hit?

I havent heard the 169.9875 repeater in a while, maybe I just missed it though..

GM do you have a current list on nps stuff in Ny/nj area? Anybody find anything else new?

Picked up activity on 171.200 Nac 40B in the Union/Middlesex Co. area. Only heard it a few times, a guy saying radio check 1-2-3. Signal was full strength. Could be something out of nyc I imagine also.

The only stuff I find on this frequency is a Dept of Energy use but not in our area.

Plug this one in your scan list. I am pretty sure on the nac, but always best to program in search mode.

I'll be checking out the Liberty Island freq. list once they start re-opening the Island around July 4 this year to verify what freq's are in use, etc. You haven't heard much since Liberty and Ellis Islands are closed for the most part until then (due to damage from Hurricane Sandy). There is limited activity on the US Park Police channel still in analog mode. And I'll plug in the other freq. listed above to see if I hear anything on it. :)

Same thing on the 171.2000 [DoE]
but the $40B does point toward NPS, BLM etc

The frequency (171.200 MHz) and NAC ($40B) is correct. It was a DOE facility. It is in use in the NYC/NJ/CT metro area. It is used infrequently.
