odd as soon as i heard of the incident about 20 min into it I put on the trunk system and heard all comms related to the post landing, like most edacs type systems they have a 'failsafe' freq simplex freq the radios revert to ; plus they were suppose to have NJ Utacs, and 800 tac simplex/repeater freq to comunicate-

The failsafe frequencies must have been the backup frequencies that they were talking about in the article. Its a good thing that they have the failsafe option in case the system goes down. Hopefully they solve the problem and this doesn't happen again in the future.
