First time attacking sweetly my 2008 f350 install 2 Larsen 150 nmo mount,apprehension all time high,no liner removal,just rear passenger light ran cable down back of pillar,under door trim into radio (bcd536),1/2hour done

Nice job.

Good photo showing the pros and cons of NMO's. Looking at that mag mount scratch compared to properly installed NMO is a good example of how to do it.

Yeah, first one is the hardest. It's easier after that.

Once you install permanent NMO's, you won't go back.

Amen. I despise magnetic-mounted mobile antennas. They tear up the finish, are poor performers, and are only a temporary compromise. I've used NMO mounts on every car I've owned for as long as I can remember. Also, have never had issues selling, trading, or leasing any of my cars with NMO mounts on them when I dispose of my vehicle(s).

I only use mag mounts for temp installs. Nmo or go home. I use the cablematic hole saw and stock spare blades and bits. Does the job right the first time.
