Didn't one of them crash? Thought I heard Rescue told to head out 211 until they came to the crash.

Potential murder in the Mt Vernon/Franconia area. Victim had his throat cut. EMS is doing CPR, no pulse. Ops on 4D and TG22464
PD knows of a suspect.

At the same time a serious wreck was being worked in the Mason Dist. Sounded like it was the driver that had the engine block crushing his lower half. PD will be the hospital to see if they can get a whiff of alcohol. There was at least one other passenger and there was an involved extrication process to get everyone out. Right now PD is arranging parental notification.

Not sure what is going on but it sounds major. At least half a dozen VSP troopers have acknowledged a message (via MDT I guess) and then said they were enroute. 159.165

Listening to the Montgomery (MD) FD simulcasts, it almost sounds like the roads are freezing, lots of accidents being reported on beltway, Maryland side...not hearing anything regarding accidents on VSP legacy freqs...

Edit, VDOT ch. 36 (47.040 PL 114.8) very busy with motorist assitance calls...maybe the roads are freezing over?

Nothing really, though I think it may have been a wreck on an interstate, 81 or 95. Apparently, for whatever reason I wasn't receiving the dispatcher that day, only the units. So that's why I thought they may have been getting info via MDT.

That 2 lane road is very busy and at the two water towers is a blind turn plus the road is in bad shape due to construction traffic. I bet someone was cutting the corner in the other lane. I've almost been hit there by a dump trunk on the wrong side of the road.

Missed what the call was, but something about partial decapitation caught my attention. Sheriff's Office is saying DOA. I think it's a car wreck. Ops on 6C. Location is Loudoun Co Pkwy and Old Ryan Rd.

Could be a pedestrian hit and run. Nobody is sure if the dead guy is the driver of the van or if the driver ran away on foot.
2222- Looks like a hit and run now. Van doors are locked and it's in park.

VSP was involved in a pursuit a little while ago in Loudoun Co. There was 2-car wreck somewhere on Old Ryan Rd as a result and the silver Toyota SUV being pursued got away. Someone in Loudoun reported seeing a suspicious vehicle parked on a sidewalk with a door or doors open. Turned out to be the suspect vehicle. They ran a tag and that came back to a green Hyundai, tag is stolen out of Fairfax Co. The Toyota did have a registration in it so they'll be contacting the owners. The vehicle contains a Fairfax Co Fire/Rescue bag full of GPS units and such, likely stolen.

At the same time three Hispanic males passengers fled one of the vehicles that was involved in the wreck. One was found and transported to the hosital . They're still waiting for K9 to help track the rest.
Owners of the Toyota on the phone and confirm their vehicle is missing.
The green Hyundai is one of the vehicles in the wreck.

VSP1211 has been one of the main units involved coordinating with LCSO and Leesburg PD. 1211 has a Loudoun Co radio. Apparently that Toyota was involved with something in Leesburg last night as well. The McDonald's has video of it and they'll have some suspect descriptions.

0955- Berryville and Winchester PDs will be given a heads up for vehicle tampering/theft from auto reports because there is evidence the suspects had been out that way.

1000-They got a lead on possible suspects in the area. Asked someone to use their phone to have their cousin pick them up.
Comms have been on Loudoun West, VSP tac and VSP Ch4.

1016-Found another citizen that let them use their phone. They have a phone number and likely meeting location now.

1041- VSP has arrested one suspect they found in the area.

A few of my friends live in the area, one got some pics.

Escaped Prisoner - Winchester

Just heard BOLO on WV State Police for an escaped prisoner from Winchester Medical Center. Subject was in the custody of the Frederick Co VA Sheriff's Office. I think it was a white male with white boxers, white socks and white T-shirt. He was last seen trying to get in a vehicle. This would have happened about 10PM. Subject has relatives in Hagerstown, MD and Martinsburg, WV

A lot of Winchester PD and Frederick Co traffic. Sounds like they are saturating RT37 and RT50. Also heard mention of a thermal imaging camera.

11:05PM - VSP in Winchester with a dog (I think). someone saw the escapee on RT50 hitchhiking.

11:11PM - VSP Helicopter en route with FLIR. Winchester PD checking every vehicle in the parking garage for the hospital.

I believe the escapee is a Warren Co. prisoner who was in their custody. I don't think the subject reported by the lady on Hwy 37 is the escapee. ICP is in the ER. Entire WPD Command Staff notified. Tfc also on WPD Ch 3.

12:14 AM - VSP helo is RTB. Unable to locate the subject so far. WPD breaking down the perimeter at this time.

I was going off the WVSP BOLO. as I was going to bed, I did hear something about Warren Co., so I'm pretty sure you're correct. I can hear Channel 1/2 at home pretty well but I believe Ch3 is simplex so I heard nothing on it.
