Structure fire on St Johns Sq in Sterling. End unit 2-story townhouse. Co 11 units on scene very fast. Exterior fire being hit quickly by E611.

8:19 in Burke - FCPD, including the station 7 captain, responded for reports of a woman trying to run someone over in a vehicle. The subject had multiple active warrants and protection orders against her. Doesn't sound like anyone was injured. Sounds like several stations are low on officers this morning, not sure why. Multiple calls are going unresponded to because no officers are available, including a request from FD for officers to respond to a disorderly patient. Other routine calls are being responded to by supervisors or with a single unit only. No idea why.

Around 0900 Loudoun units were dispatched to Point of Rocks to assist Frederick Co, MD with a search for a man that reportedly jumped from the bridge. A shoe was found somewhere, on the bridge maybe. The incident originally started around 0830. R620 and SWT620 are staged at White's Ferry with BC600 and EMS602. SAF601, SWT610/A610 and another ambulance are at the end of Spink's Ferry Rd. BC602 is at the boat ramp in POR. The river is up 7ft since Saturday so after an hour nobody would be anywhere near POR. Loudoun ops on 6L, Frederick on 9D.

Loudoun had boat units searching the river again this morning from White's Ferry. There is a MD DNR helicopter currently flying along the river.

Friday 10/4 will be the funeral for Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company life member and former Chief Tommy Downs. He joined the company in 1971.

At 1300 the procession will leave the Colonial Funeral home on a route that will pass Station 20, then the 1927 fire station where the Medlin Art Gallery is now, then Station 1 and finally the Union Cemetery. The procession will include Red Knights on motorcycles, 1929 Seagraves pumper, the 2019 Pierce engine that was dedicated to Tommy Downs at the time it was put in service, the 2017 Pierce engine, 2024 Pierce tiller and the company's various command, UTV, and utility vehicles. The 2019 tiller and a LCFR truck will hoist a large American flag at the cemetery.

13:15 - Reston (FCPD Station 5) - Caller reported a suspect kicked in his front door and pointed a handgun at them. Suspect had fled when units arrived on scene. Officers set up a perimeter and requested helo and K9. Still searching as of 13:45.

Also at 13:15 - FCFRD responded to a residential fire at a large house in McLean. Small amount of smoke coming from the front door when E401 arrived on scene. 401 found a small kitchen fire and evacuated the residence, then extinguished the fire. RIT was requested with a full structure fire assignment but most units were put back in service by 13:30.

Loudoun has dispatched for a detached garage fire on Downy Mill Rd in the Taylorstown area. Engines and tankers from Lucketts, Lovettsville, engine and tower from Purcellville, tanker from Hamilton, truck from Leesburg and some units from MD.

They got it knocked quickly. The residents were fighting it with a garden hose which likely helped slow things down, really crucial with extended responses and no hydrants.

Early this morning there was an extended incident on Canby Rd in Loudoun dispatched at 0147. Someone called brother 1 saying they were worried about brother 2. Brother 1 checked on brother 2 who then shot through the bedroom door a few times hitting 1 in the butt. 1 ran out of the house and called 911. A bunch of units were already on scene when a responding LCSO deputy crashed her car just down the road somewhere and was apparently somewhat trapped inside. That was dispatched at 0204. She hit some trees and I think the rear end of another LE vehicle because another unit mentioned a unit having rear end damage and it couldn't be moved.

LCSO was in phone contact with #2 who said he wasn't coming out. Eventually they moved to the encrypted West Tac 2 channel. Mid-morning there was still an engine and BN chief on scene.

Domestic Shooting Suspect in Custody after Long Standoff with Deputies

A section of Canby Road west of Leesburg was closed this morning as Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a domestic shooting.

Loudoun has working house fires in Sterling on N. Birch Ct. Starting a 2nd alarm for the 2nd house.
The houses are on opposite sides of the street.

They think there may be some sort of electrical issue causing these.

1550- One fire is out and utilities secured.
1605- Fires are out, units being placed back in service.

12:50 - Robbery in FCPD District 4 (Mason) at Dick's Sporting Goods. Female suspect attacked a manager with mace and stole items, then fled in a vehicle being driven by a male. Victim got the full tag off the vehicle and an officer found the vehicle moments later nearby and it fled on Route 7. Pursuit was initiated and a successful PIT stopped the vehicle. 3x suspects were taken into custody at gunpoint.

Crazy evening in Loudoun. LCFRS working a brush fire and, within 20 minutes, have had 2 gas leaks and a smoke investigation call come out. In the craziness, E606 switched to the wrong tac channel and dispatchers had to call them on around 10 channels before finding them.

LCSO has been looking for an elderly male (sounds like with dementia or something), who showed up in a Leesburg Chick Fil A, whose employees called him in for acting strangely. LPD and LCSO confirmed it was him and are en route to pick him up. Of note, LCSO "Duty Officer 1" is coordinating the effort. Never heard this position in LCSO before, wonder if it's new or just rarely heard.

Loudoun now dispatching for what sounds like will be an extended outside gas leak event. 1000 gallon underground tank is leaking on Purcell Rd in Lovettsville. Hazmat units from Stations 19 and 21 and Frederick's HM933 have been added to the call.

Right around midnight LCSO was attempting to stop a car in excess of 100mph eastbound on Rt7 in Sterling. In the area of Potomac View Rd the unit was advised to terminate the attempt to stop. The car then crashed into 3 other cars at Sterling Blvd. Two occupants fled north into the area of Cardinal Glen Cir. Fairfax1 is now overhead attempting to locate.

Reported forcible entry attempt on Hollow Mountain Place around 0015 and now a suspicious person report on Backwater Dr at 0034.

Working fire at 113/115 (duplex) Catoctin Circle NE in Leesburg. E620, TT620 and R620 on scene immediately. RIT task force requested.
E606,E622,PE605,T606B, various ambulances and command staff enroute. Power company requested. There are downed live wires.

0018- Bulk of the fire has been knocked down.

Reston (FCPD District 5) - Units searching for a pickup truck that hit at least 15 vehicles in a neighborhood near FFX County Pkwy and fled the scene. Full tag and description of the vehicle was obtained by numerous RPs and was broadcast to LCSO and Herndon PD. Fairfax 1 responded to assist with the search but was unable to find anything. Units are breaking down the search.

Large barn on fire at Black Hills Dr and Georgetown Pike. Structure is vacant. Fire showing across the structure. Tankers being brought in from across FFX as well as Loudoun and Montgomery.

Heard the dispatcher requesting Loudoun units but haven't been following it. E618 and K609 with BC402 appear to be doing water supply ops at the shopping center with CVS on Seneca Rd. E623 is filling in at station 439.

Also assisting from Loudoun are BC601, PE611, K622, TW611, R635 and M625.

R439, R635 and M439 are on Falls Bridge Rd. A bunch of units are parked on Branton Lane.

Water supply units have all been released except one. 40 minutes, exterior attack continues, situation is stable. Sounds like there is at least a couple units operating on the interior now.

Loudoun units were dispatched at 0028 to Talls Cedars Pkwy west of Loudoun Co Pkwy for a vehicle wreck. About 0040 LCSO found two patients in the woods that had been ejected. At this point there is one likely black tag, one red, 1 yellow, 1 green. More units are now being dispatched at 0044.
