It started around 0330 with a glass-break alarm call. Suspects scattered and one was caught almost right away. One of the Middleburg units listening in seemed to think these may be the guys involved in the Middleburg burglaries. It sounded like he was sort of familiar with the one guy they caught because he had seen him around town in a Volvo station wagon. So that was one of the cars they were looking for. LPD called for the VSP tac team to clear the building. I think that was around 0400 and there was an ETA of 30 minutes. I don't think they had arrived by the time I got in the shower at 0440. I think there were 5 or 6 LPD units on duty so that's why LCSO was helping.

Ashburn - Homicide

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is currently on the scene of an apparent homicide in Ashburn.

On Wednesday morning shortly before 10 a.m. Sheriff's Deputies responded to an apartment on Timber Ridge Terrace for a report of a victim who sustained apparent self-inflicted wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital.

A cursory search of the apartment identified a deceased victim. A search warrant was obtained for the home. The incident appears contained to the apartment and domestic in nature. There is no information that leads Sheriff's Investigators to believe there is any danger to the community or related to any other similar cases.

Entrapment MVA - Loudoun

06:35 - Braddock Rd and Gum Spring Rd with a cross of Foley Headwaters Street. MVA, car into tree, reported that car was cut in half. EMS on scene performing CPR. Helo being called. LZ is Liberty Elem.

06:41 - Command asked to hold Helo.

06:42 - Braddock and Gum Spring shut down.

06:44 - massive head trauma reported with brain matter exposed. EMS reporting that injuries are not compatible with life and they will not continue CPR.

Loudoun County, Virginia- A single vehicle crash Thursday morning has taken the life of a Leesburg woman.

The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. on Gum Spring Road just south of Braddock Road in the Chantilly area. Tiffany Lynne Cox, 22, of Leesburg, was traveling south on Gum Spring Road when for unknown reasons she lost control of her 1995 Saturn Coupe. The vehicle crossed the northbound lanes and struck a tree.

The driver passed away at the scene.

20:47 11min into command - Single Family Dewelling fulling involved. Two FM's requested and SO requested for hostle residents. Darian Court has been mentioned. Anyone catch the location address?

Sounds like a single-family home on McPherson Circle. They went to second alarm, calling the home a total loss, just about 2 minutes after the first officer arrived.

09:11 - reported DOA.

Working barn fire with defensive ops on Eudora (sounds like it is off of Rt. 9). Ops on 6C1. Lots of companies involved with the incident. Tanker ops. On going since around 0945.

It's at Minnieland on Serpentine, I believe. I heard "handful of white powder" found in the office HazMat was making entry a while ago.

OK. I was not able to place a school there. I think they cleared it and are allowing them to go back in now.

Loudoun County emergency personnel remain on the scene of a Loudoun County daycare facility after a report of a suspicious substance found outside of the building. The substance has been identified and was determined not to be harmful.

The substance was found in a mailbox located outside the Minnieland Private Day School located in the 24850 block of Serpentine Place in Aldie, VA shortly after 3 p.m. today.

As a precaution, the children were evacuated from the school and are currently being held on school buses awaiting pick-up from their parents. Parents of children at the school were guided to a nearby parking lot where a representative from Loudoun Fire-Rescue was present to provide up-to-date information. No one was injured during the event.

Emergency personnel remain on the scene and are expecting to clear the scene shortly.

Fire units are responding for a structure fire at the main terminal at Dulles Airport because of a report of smoke in the lower level.

2120- Units on scene aren't finding anything.
MWAA Ops is saying the smoke likely came from a tug starting up.

Ashburn - LCPS Building

There is a job fair going on today at the LCPS Admin building. The parking lot is full and the LCSO has closed the parking lot to anyone coming into the parking lot. This is also causing traffic issues on the surrounding neighborhoods.

Loudoun Incident 5/8/09

Anyone know what's going on currently on 6C/6D? I joined the incident late, but it sounds like it may have been a vehicle into a county government building with entrapment. There was a prolonged extrication, reference to "county employees" as victims, 2 helicopters for transport, and talk of patients being exposed to fuel. Provisions for the PIO are being made.
