If you are still having problems with "Nothing to Scan" perhaps you can connect your scanner to your computer in the Mass Storage Mode.

Then using your Windows Explorer, Send all the files on the scanner to a zipped folder. Then attach that zip file to a reply. That way one of us could clone your scanner and see what might be going on with it. We'd need to know your zip code so we can set the correct location.
