Hi, I have a new nRSP-ST and am trying to set up the network capability. I have been successful accessing it over my home WiFi network, but cannot work out how to set up for access when away from home.
On my EE Broadband router I have set the nRSP to a fixed IP as advised, and have been trying to set up Port Forwarding. The nRSP Admin tool tells me that the “IQ server port‘ is 50000 and the “Client port” is 9001.
On my EEBroadband port forwarding rule it asks for a range for External ports and a range for Internal ports. I have tried using 50000 and 9001 in both with no luck.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi Geoff,

Welcome to the forums!

You've done the right thing by assigning a static IP - that will save you trouble down the road.

Assuming this is what you are referring to with "EEBroadband", you'll want to create two rules, both being TCP. For example:
  • Rule 1 should have 50000 in both the external and internal port number fields
  • Rule 2 should have 9001 in both the external and internal port number fields
If you only plan on using the web server remotely, then only port 9001 is needed. Port 50000 is for sdrconnect.

Thank you, I’ll give that a go!
