What I'm asking is - why are posts that are not incidents or breaking news going into the incidents and breaking news section? Most appear to be more for the tavern, if anything. Like this one.

What is the criteria for posting in this section?

The other Michigan posting area says, "Michigan Radio Discussion Forum". The one I used says, "Michigan Incidents and Breaking News". I will agree it's not "scanner" related, but it's still a form of radio, or communication, and it's affects the County of Oakland Michigan, so I would think it is breaking news. I could be wrong. But I think many of us use WiFi, including people involved in Public Safety, so I felt it would be of interest to the RR viewers in our area. I don't think it was that out of line to make a big deal about it. Just ignore it if it doesn't interest you.

Well your argument about the Tavern is valid. The point is that the Breaking news and Incidents forum of any regional forum is not a place for you boost your post count or to post such nonsense as this. I was going to just delete this thread, but I realized that doing that does not show how inappropriate this thread is, so instead I am going to just close it.
