It sounds like recent "intel" indicates the suspect or vehicle might still be in Adams County, a bunch of folks are out looking now. Thank God the officer had a vest.

Still do not understand exactly what happened, but the comment "Lord shot at the vehicle while it was driving away." could have been used to explain why his own weapon had been discharged. Wonder if the ballistics on the round in his vest matched his own weapon? That would explain the charges associated with the subsequent arrest.
