That's usually the way it goes. Once an agency goes to TRS from VHF/UHF, they don't usually look back. Once they started using MSWIN in Jackson and other metro areas AMR pretty much stopped using their encrypted DMR repeaters. Always was surprised they never went encrypted DMR on the Natchez repeater like they did all the others in MS.

Anyone having any luck on the new MDOT talkgroups that have been popping up? I've only gotten MDOT radios affiliating, no voice traffic yet.

44931 seems to be some sort of information channel. Someone affiliated to it here on the Coast this morning and all of the traffic was from within the city limits of Madison. Requests to run information through idiCORE, mostly.

Was in Pearl and then Jackson all day for work yesterday and had a few dozen hits on this one. Now it sounds like a traffic unit channel. All traffic stops, tag/DL checks, and dispositions, i.e. "10-8 with two cites cut".

I see about 47 RIDS on TG=44931 in my logs. The strongest affinity is to Madison Police. I will review my recordings when I get a chance.

That is definitely looking like it's MPD. Traffic Enforcement, or Info/HQ sure sounds about right then.

I will review my recordings when I get a chance.

My recordings show a lot of traffic-related calls on TG=44931. However there is some 'normal' dispatch mixed in as well - mostly medical assists. Addresses are in Madison. I hear both East Side and West Side units referenced. I'd say it is definitely Madison PD, but still undecided on the exact usage.

I've logged that TG joining every site on the Coast as well as Shelby Greer. I'm sure there's others as units travel but I can't normally track due to distance.
