Ohio MARCS in Brown County

Does anyone in the group know if the Brown County Ohio MARCS talk groups can affiliate with the Clinton County or Clermont County simulcast sites? I was in Fayetteville yesterday for a a little bit and my SDS 200 was not picking up on any of the Brown County sites.

Yes. Well at least the Clermont site. I live in Mt Orab and listen both the Mt Orab site as well as the Clermont simulcast site. Also, some of the Adams County TGs affiliate on the Mt Orab and Georgetown sites.

Keep in mind that at least one site was recently updated with new frequencies (Higginsport). If you monitor Higginsport you need to update your scanner with the latest info. Same with the Maysville / Aberdeen site.

2/27/24 Seems every agency in Northern Ohio is complaining of coverage and audio quality issues on MARCS. Never heard so many radio checks in one day. 🤦‍♂️ ive been noticing my error rate go up lately here so there may be tower issues

Thanks Mike. That is the first thing I checked this morning to see if my radio was up to date with the current frequencies, it was up to date. Fayetteville is only about 5 or 6 miles from both the Clinton County and Clermont County borders. I went ahead and added the Clinton and Clermont County simulcast sites just to see what happens the next time I am over that way.
