If you are making reference to OKWIN P25, I don't see any site in Chelsea. Isn't this roughly 39.3 miles from Bartlesville to Owasso? I suppose it is related to the sites being linked together in a trunked system.

At present, I can easily hear the Coryell SO in Gatesville in Temple and Waco, Texas, conventional P25. That is not very far.

In Texas, I once heard radio traffic from Conroe to Fairfield, Texas on the TXWarn system.

I have even heard radio traffic in Waco from Houston on the TXWarn 25 system when there was a site near Waco.

The Chelsea site is associated with okwin. Doesn't matter who maintains it . It's connected to okwin.

WREC498 is sites 6 and 7 on the BA system. It is not tied to OKWIN. Extensive monitoring shows only a few patches from the BA system to OKWIN.

This is incorrect. The Cheslea site is part of the Broken Arrow system as stated and demonstrated. The license WREC498 is issued to Rogers County which is connected to the Broken Arrow system and is a Harris P25 Phase 2 system with a Harris Vendor as stated on the license information. There is no association with OKWIN unless by patch like stated above. *Site links are below.

To answer your question. The trooper is most likely transmitting in his patrol vehicle so the transmission might be going through the Owasso or Hominy sites. It is also a possibility that he is used the WAVE app which was implemented a year or 2 ago for areas that have good cell coverage but lack 800 or 700 radio coverage. *You can read about it in the links below.

Hope this helps. Happy scanning!

I have not had my Home Patrol II Scanner on in a while, but when I turn it on, I get no audio on any of the Oklahoma Channels. I occasionally hear a data burst, just no voice audio. Has the state gone to ProVoice? The database is loading every time I turn it on so I believe it is current.
Any help would be appreciated. My email is rbr007@cox.net if you would rather reply there.
Thanks in advance.
